  1. You get some great racing at this little track
  2. my point was general having seen how it is in Poland and this is what they do when they feel like it unless it's Ramadan celebrations nothing really gets the go ahead where I live and no I don't know if anyone has tried but you can't even take a fan round on s bike after a meeting now
  3. yep and those pesky kids that were having fun have gone and the new generation are bored to death taking God knows how many drugs and robbing your house and possessions , sounds like a worth while swap
  4. yes the original video was organised by red bull, but in general they want to ride in a field ,they ride , they want to ride on a lake , they ride and nobody says a thing , I want to ride my bikes and I have to travel half the country and then can't start them till a certain time and then can't ride in the pits , it's all h&s crap and I firmly believe as someone who has had the misfortune to have work with Tata steel that H&S was a big factor in why they are in the trouble they are in ,H&S is killing this country
  5. your missing the point slightly , nobody is interested in organised crap we just want to have fun on wheels whenever and wherever we like , there is some woods by me where loads of lads rode our mx bikes but now no one can ride there , when I was in Czech a couple of years ago there were kids everywhere on fields and round lakes on mx bikes it was refreshing to see , I have bikes but have to travel to use them , I live 3 miles from a speedway track but I can't just turn up ride my speedway bikes whenever I feel like it but you can in poland
  6. you can't even start a bike in this county without someone complaining , the pole who I mechaniced for has his own track the back of his house and nobody cares and they have bbq's at frozen lakes in the winter and make tracks on them
  7. even so this is typical of Poland and one thing it shows is how far stuck up our own backside with health and safety we are in Britain
  8. the bookies would have picked that up , they know where speedway betting will come from and how bets will be made , try to put a large bet on Harris to be world champ with online bookies and your betting will be vetted , so if ting tong from ping pong suddenly bets £10000 on iversen to score less than 5 , alarm bells would be raised
  9. he beat pedersen King and Harris and fell in another while 3rd not quite a hampered performance on a small track where power isn't King and surely he used more than one bike , he also has a poor performance in Warsaw , similar track to cardiff
  10. I think slower than 3 points at GP level
  11. it would only hinder fuel flow on direct injection fuel system , speedway uses carbs so the tank fills the float chamber , a float chamber is enough to run a bike for 1/2 lap with fuel supply completely cut off , so even a reduced flow would still fill the float chamber faster than the engine can use it , so imo the sponge was used for fuel additive or water depending on who put it in and also iversen would of noticed the bike hesitating if it was fuel starvation , water in fuel would just make it feel slow
  12. yes water would be OK to slow a bike down without engine damage , what I want to know is who found these sponges at Coventry , his team or the machine examiner ? , if it was the latter then the "I don't know how they got in there" sounds like the plea of a guilty man but if it was his team then it's got to be sabatage in some way
  13. Sponge is also an amateur and crude way of getting additive (nitro or similar) into the fuel system when the fuel is supplied by a regulated source
  14. would it though ? In a direct injection system yes but speedway bikes uses carbs and the engine is fed by the fuel in float bowl which will do half a lap before it runs out even when no fuel is turned on so even reduced flow would still fill the float chamber quicker than it was used , also fuel starvation would cause a misfire rather than reduced speed
  15. the problem is speedways problem , the tuning is becoming more and more vital so a racer no longer just have to have talent he has to have the right engine which is doing speedway no favours but it's not going to change anytime soon
  16. Great meeting , really enjoyed it but I still think ticket prices are too high , anything below the top level are up to £100 each , I have just brought 2 tickets for gorzow GP for £57 and they are not the cheapest and if you get them earlier they cheaper than that , also as my lad is disabled we had to get tickets in the wheel chair part but they only had 1 seat space left for me or the Mrs so we got the Mrs the seat £48 and I had to get a seat 2 blocks away which was £63 , when we got in to the stadium we found the disabled wheelchair part gave the steward our tickets and she said there was plenty of space for me and I could sit with them which I did so basically I paid £15 extra than I needed to and to be honest the disabled area is not the best view as your low down so riders dissapear below the fence level as the come into bend
  17. I wish I had achieved as much as Chris Harris in my career
  18. it was never a challenge match , it was everything
  19. it got a bit nasty at the end of the meeting , you can see Grudziadz fans going on track to get at Torun fans , there is a couple of videos showing the trouble
  20. Track is woefull , the riders are spinning up so bad coming off the corners they look like they are going so slow
  21. I think belle vue fans are starting to miss kirkmanshulme lane , using elastic band as tapes not working tonight
  22. on a national scale woofy is very popular however in the Wolverhampton area it not hard to find people who don't like him, nothing to do with his personality or if he is british or not ,simply because wolves fans are passionate about their team and some feel he betrayed or let them down them in his last year he rode for wolves when clearly he didn't want to be there
