Have you cheered up yet?
-
Thanks for the answer - not what I was expecting though. Not a youngster then. I just go by the style of riding and I liked his.
-
Can't say I really enjoyed it because mostly the Storm riders were gating first and off they went. Hope there were no newcomers to National League racing there tonight because it's normally so much better than that. Was impressed with Steve Jones style of riding for Scunthorpe, also Danno Verge although I'd never previously heard of either of them. What nationality is Danno? The track looked good - that's the main thing - but whether it still will do after the Stock Cars tomorrow is another matter.
-
Okay fair enough. I didn't know they had three injuries in their first meeting and I thought 'G' against the riders name meant guest. I stand corrected. 1. Steve Jones 2. Conor Dwyer (G) 3. Danno Verge 4. Adam Kirby (G) 5. Sam Woods (G) 6. Liam Sanderson 7. Ryan MacDonald

Why are Scunthorpe allowed three guests? Have they not got a full team yet?

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.

True. I nominate Neil Middleditch as he understands what the youth of today are like. He'll soon sort him out. -

Well it might not be too bad as they'll perhaps play a different Queen song next week. -

I don't know of any other track that does this, even Coventry where it is the same promotion. I've got dodgy knees as well and once I've sat down I won't be getting up for the National Anthem. I've got no respect for hunting/shooting Royalty. -
I'm pretty sure you'd get a reply from Coventry as Neil Watson is good enough to correspond on here with the lower classes who attend Speedway. I was going to say don't set SCB off, but it looks like I'm too late.

Not seen Question of Sport yet but noticed that Mark answered Speedway to a question when it wasn't the correct answer. Because my memory is terrible I can't remember the programme a couple of days ago - but perhaps the new Eggheads one - when the question was asked about what sport the Poole Pirates competed in. Obviously no-one knew but don't tell Steve Shovlar because he thinks they're famous.

Hope Mick doesn't get any ideas of playing the National Anthem at Coventry. -

Yes, I thought it was a strange comment as the lights wouldn't have been repaired that quickly. I know I read it somewhere but I've searched here and Facebook and can't find it now. The person had been to the meeting. -

Well I'm not. Hunting and shooting people get no respect from me so once I'm settled down I won't be standing up again. -

I thought someone said the lights were back on again when they were passing the Showground on their way home? -

Do riders usually get paid that quick then? -

Can someone check where Avtar Sandhu was this evening. -
Can't win with some people. How many promoters come on a forum and interact with the fans? You can probably count them with the fingers on one hand and most don't bother. Perhaps it was best to wait until tempers had calmed down a little before releasing a statement, also there was the little matter of a Peterborough match at Leicester to attend to the day after.
-
Our lovely entrance to Leicester via Fosse Park Island also closed. Just what I needed when half a mile from home having to do a detour and not knowing where I was going. Eventually got home at 10.30pm and my husband didn't believe I'd only seen 6 heats of speedway. That's rather unfair. Mick seems to get a lot of blame for things when it was actually Colin's fault. I don't think they've even been in contact with each other for several years. There have been apologies on the Bees Facebook page but obviously that's not much good for those not on there. The good news is David Hammond is back as from Sunday.

Can't be bothered to write very much because it's all been said already. Absolute shambles in front of the biggest crowd I've ever seen for a N.L. meeting. Don't mind us fans standing around in the freezing cold not knowing what's going on for ages. Oh well...at least it's made me change my mind about going to the Leicester v Peterborough match tomorrow - I'll be stopping at home in the warm.

Where's GeneralPatton gone though? Looks like I wasted my time.

Craig Saul - Announcer At Barnet Fc

Have to agree with that. I always enjoy my visits to Peterborough. Great track, music, announcers, and dogs welcome. What more could I ask for, apart from a nice motorway leading there from Leicester. -
Coventry and Leicester always used to be deadly rivals. That battle can now commence again this season after 30 years.
