  1. You could save a bob or two by not buying any raffle tickets, taking a flask of coffee and printing your own programme. Of course there is still admission and fuel to find but you could perhaps get it down to £50? Still a lot of money to find though if it's not a good meeting and you don't think you've had value for money.
  2. I don't think you are the only one somehow ~ I can immediately think of someone else. I do find it rather weird though not being keen on him as he has ridden well for Coventry over many years and is a rider that always gives 100%. Edited because I messed the quote up and I like perfection.
  3. Blimey! I was being sarcastic but I wasn't that far out. Good rider that KK ~ I hope Wolves sign him as I know stevebrum thinks he's great.
  4. Yes, it didn't take him long. Sad really. Not funny at all really ~ there are riders I like and others I don't. The season Coventry won the league I think he came in for the last couple of months? (Sorry I don't store useless Speedway information so I'm not sure.) He rode well then but the last time he was in the team he was pretty useless, not interested and kept pulling up when at the back. You've probably noticed him doing the same in some G.P's when he's in 4th place. Well, sorry but those sort of riders annoy me.
  5. There are some things I will never get over or forget and that is one of them. Sorry but I'm pretty good at bearing grudges. More likely it was because Poole were top of the league and Coventry were a mere 4th that didn't go down too well. I'm sure Matt thought it would be an easy victory and didn't expect Bees to beat them home and away. Yes, home and away fair and square so his actions afterwards were pathetic. I thought so 5 years ago and I still think the same now. We don't know that at all as It was nothing to do with Trump. The trouble between the 2 clubs happened afterwards in the Winter. It was purely the actions of a selfish. miserable promoter who didn't like his team losing.
  6. Yes he sure is and he did a bloody good one in October 2010 hiding the fireworks and champagne.
  7. Has it? You know that for a fact do you? I think if Hans hadn't been paid it would have been all over Twitter as he likes to get things out in the open, as per his baby sitting remarks. Being appreciated works both ways so I hope he has a good season at Poole and he doesn't do or say anything to upset the fans.
  8. Do you really think that he just relied on Coventry's wages? Shame he didn't because then he might have made more of an effort. Anyway, I'm sure he'll enjoy being in the Poole team with no baby sitting to do.
  9. He probably isn't judging by how much he lowered his average so he could join Poole next season.
  10. Purely a coincidence. Most Aussie's too ~ strange.
  11. Yes I will as I fully expect him to ride 100% for Poole, something he didn't always do for Coventry this season. I'm sure you've got a few riders you're never been keen on ~ Hans was one of mine, along with Troy Batchelor, Davey Watt, Darcy Ward and Krystof Kasprzak. Fortunately it's not a very long list.
  12. Never mind about Hans ~ not bothered he's moved on to be honest ~ but this is brilliant news about Buildbase as it could have been a bit of a worry that John is retiring at the end of the year. No need to speculate now so many thanks Buildbase for renewing the contract for 2016. Not many clubs can say they've had the same sponsorship since 2004.
  13. It was funny though. (Sorry I've got a warped sense of humour....but at least I've got one.)
  14. I've no idea why the original plan of The Storm riding on G.P nights changed in 2015, but I'm sure the promotion have realized their mistake and things will be different next season.
  15. Good grief ~ that will be a blow to The White Knight as he might have to give up his protest and start attending matches again.
  16. You're welcome and trust me that was my polite reply as a first time viewer who was easily able to work out which bit was which. But then I'm a woman so it was easy.
  17. Judging by the Darcy Ward thread I think it might be a quick visit.
  18. Okay I'll ask because I don't really understand decimals. How many more to make it 6? Is it .47? If so that sounds pretty near 6 to me.
  19. Even I can work that out but as you seem to like being awkward....... This bit.... The problem is that Swindon is a growing 'new' town because it's along the M4 corridor, generally has good employment prospects and is semi-affordable by the standards of the South(-East) of England (along Swindon is technically in the South-West. There's also the fact that ramshackle old sports stadiums are relatively cheaper and more desirable to redevelop than other sites, plus in Toryshire they generally don't want/care about speedway as a general rule. In parts of the country though, there are indeed a huge number of empty and derelict houses. Unfortunately there's also poor employment prospects as well.
  20. Chris is still one of my favourite riders and I love watching him ride at Coventry but not in the G.P's and I wish he'd just bow out gracefully. Still it won't bother me next season anyway because I won't be able to watch them now they've moved from Eurosport. Prefer your lot personally. You're welcome to him.
  21. Well, in that case can someone please tell him that he won't.
  22. The Magic Roundabout must be fun at rush hour.
