  1. Ha Ha! Be careful as that's how I started off in 1984. You might find yourself becoming a Bees fan eventually. Anyway, better stop before the forum police turn up as this is a Poole thread.
  2. I'm sure Neil said it applies to university students as well? Perhaps he'll confirm.
  3. Students £5 at Coventry. Elite League ALL ADULTS (16+) £17 STUDENT (16+) £5 (on production of proof of full-time education - school or college) CHILDREN (Under 16) FREE PROGRAMME £3
  4. Well, at least you realize it won't be Rooboy ~ can't see him leaving Kings Lynn.
  5. Yes, who was that rider he stuck with all season even though he was useless? American rider? Sometimes it's quite advantageous going senile because I forget all the annoying things about the sport....apart from what happened at Poole in 2010 of course as that will be etched in my memory forever.
  6. Shame we've got to face Poole first. Can't we just give them the Shield and start a week later as they are bound to win anyway? It doesn't seem like a very good idea to have Bomber's testimonial just two days later either as not everyone can afford two meetings in two days, especially us poor old pensioners now we've got to pay full price.
  7. Are you serious ~ Posts 13 to 1816? I'd rather apologise for being wrong now than have to wade through that lot again. I can only remember Game On being to the forefront of the doubts about serious injury to Dak's dad so I will take your word for it that there were more. Not surprised though as it was all very dodgy and completely unnecessary being as Poole on their own track could easily have beaten a Coventry side without Kylmakorpi and Garrity.
  8. He's probably still looking or found the posts and realized he's wrong. I think there was just one person who said there was nothing wrong with Dak's dad and there hadn't been an accident.
  9. Looks like it's Bjarne then as Batchelor has now signed for Kings Lynn.
  10. Are you serious? Sounds like Ole Olsen's crackpot idea for EL tracks to shut for 3 years. If Leicester closed for a season there would be nothing left to go back to as it would all have been vandalised. They'd probably nick the shale as well.
  11. Yes me....quite a few times and it's getting really boring now. So boring that I'm losing interest in next season before it's even started.
  12. Well Coventry aren't as they've stopped concessions for next season. Perhaps all the E.L. teams will follow suit in 2017 and drive more old people away. Damn nuisance they are.
  13. I'm sure no one takes any notice of ramblings on a Speedway forum and the Lions will come to the tapes in the Elite League in March.
  14. On the contrary I think it's much more fun these days. I come on here to have a laugh at some of the posts and I'm never disappointed.
  15. I doubt if David would drop out of the E.L. and lose thousands of pounds bond money. I also get the impression he's a bit stubborn (heaven knows where I got that idea from) so he wouldn't want to admit he was wrong moving up from the Premier League.
  16. Is that a cryptic clue that it's someone else entirely? Jason and Ryan in the same team would cause havoc.
  17. Good news! I'm sure the management are right. I know quite a few Leicester fans go to Peterborough on Sunday's (including me) and there is always a fair sprinkling of supporters from other tracks as well. Friday night traffic is usually pretty bad everywhere and I certainly wouldn't tackle it from Leicester as I have to cross from one side to the other to get to the A47. Even if Coventry closes I still wouldn't do it.
  18. Just a shame Matt Ford couldn't have done the same instead of acting like a spoilt child. There was of course one other notable absentee who usually wrote an in depth review of every meeting but couldn't bring himself to do it this time and did a disappearing act instead.
  19. Yes, it's almost as if he knew about him being available before anyone else.
  20. Ah.... Soldier Boy there's a blast from the past. I wonder what he's doing these days? I would include John Berry in the list of managers who liked winding the crowd up as he would often stand at the starting gate at Blackbird Road looking at his watch if a Leicester rider was on 2 minutes. I can't see what SCB has said wrong. Who is he supposed to have had digs at?
  21. I'm not surprised after the things he wrote. Didn't do very much for team bonding either.
  22. What ~ Leicester and Glasgow? Looks quite a long way apart to me.
