I've wondered myself how long a topic can stay hot and how a topic is made "Hot" Biggest problem in attracting fans is the almost total dominance of football in the press and on TV. Half a page showing pen pictures and brief description of riders (eg. where from) in the British Championship would surely attract new viewers, it's usually a good meeting too so could get some new fans attending meetings.

Maybe Richard Lawson again, did ok last time for them so wouldn't be surprised.

Conversely more chance of improving and staying on. Riders come off in different circumstances, riders falling in front of them, hitting ruts in the track, own error, being knocked off and maybe more. The only comparison would be riders coming off entirely on their own with no other factor involved, taking a bend too fast say or trying to hard too pass and losing it.

10 fallers in 15 meetings or 20 fallers in 30 meetings is the same average, 66.67. Don't get the number of meetings bit.

Kyle Bickley, the 11 yr old was riding round DP last season and maybe the season before. Pretty sure he came 2nd in recent British u15 championship. Obviously rode Northside before DP and broke his leg there. Hasn't put him off though. Adams average doesn't alter cos of injury unfortunately so no reserve place and no NL

Hope Roynon gets back to where he was, similar situation as when he returned after a previous injury (GB practice at KL), he could do with some NL meetings to get his confidence back but can't happen cos of the averages. Just hope he stays injury free now.

Pretty sure Maggie, as you call him had an excellent meeting for Scunny here not that long ago. Can't remember Branford doing much while at Redcar but he was young so could be better now. Weather bright and breezy.

Won't be easy and Somerset are favourites but so were Redcar to beat us at home. Good to see Rich get 8pts for Sheffield last night after finishing last in the first heat. Should go well tonight too.

No automatic promotion, a club would apply to join the Elite League which is more costly to be in. Likewise a team can ask to drop down from the Elite League to the Prem. Newcastle finished top of the league last season but Scunthorpe are Champions cos they won the play-offs, a not popular rule which only came to the Prem last seaon, been in Elite League longer. Teams can get a guest for their No. 1 but not one with a higher average. Teams don't have squads, just 7 riders plus maybe a young number 8 so it keeps it competitive. Other rules are there but don't have time now. Some complicated, enjoy the racing! Far too much hype in football.

Yeh well done Ipswich, track didn't seem to have much grip for passing but same for both teams. Our reserves weak and I think it's a long time since Lawson didn't win at home. 4pts at Redcar. 0 tonight, maybe one more than expected, chins up, but reserves....Thought Rusty would have been in heat 15 but Bach did come 2nd and had beat Barker.

Should be a decent meeting, think home advantage will count though, and hope it does for my 2nd team
