  1. I think Ben Hopwood could come into the mix went well round C.P this season Lives in the midlands but does not seem to mind travelling..Mind you i hope I.O.W will continue...
  2. You could be right Mimmo,, we will have to see what comes out of the promoters meeting and then we will all have a clearer idea of what is happening with British Speedway next season,,and riders like Ben may have a better idea of how they stand team wise ,and plan accordingly..
  3. Thanks Mimmo for those kind words on our Ben Morley ,,Obviously he wants Premier league as well as National next season, and had a 5.25 with bonus points average ,for Rye House this year in around 15 meetings as a guest which means he can start on a 3 point average next year ,I would suggest that is higher than a considerable number of current reserves in the Premier League ..Hopefully the Premier points limit will be lowered next year with all clubs fielding a British 3 pointer,,,it needs to happen for british youngsters to progress in the sport and all foreigners under a 5 point average to be dropped out of the league...
  4. Not sure what was up with Shane Hazelden ,went missing towards the end of the season,,perhaps Garry can let us know ? Ricky Mullins is he still around ? Marc Owen if he can get some equipment together ,should be a good asset i think he needs sponsers ,,,any one out there to help a potentially good rider ???
  5. What about Aaron Baseby ? with his work commitments not the most reliable rider around
  6. Nikko i have been full of praise for what you have done promoting the Kent Kings and ill agree Len has little knowledge of modern ideas in that respect ,But fans must realise that a new promotion must have an established person co promoting at least in the first season And obviously Roger knew Len was the best person to bring in to do the job I fully understand the conflict of interests that now exists with some Kent fans.. In thinking whether that will be resolved next season we will have to wait and see..So for now everyone can do their speculating for next year ..And i wish the Kent Kings and your good self well for the future...
  7. I am getting a bit fed up with the continual slagging off of Len Silver and any one connected to Rye House ..With out Len i doubt Kent Kings would have got off the ground, he has put in a huge amount of work at the track ,maybe im wrong but i was there vertually every week and i did not see much of Mr Cearns.. Who got Boxall out of retirement ,helped with his machinary ,,supplied the top end riders for the team ,after everyone else of any standard had been snapped up by other teams ,81 yr old Len Silver thats who.. He may be old school, and is his own man ,,does things his way ,, But I have known Len for 30 yrs and he is the most experienced person in British Speedway as a rider ,promoter, England team manager ,track curator ( inc world finals) Has a wonderfull reputation as being straight and honest (His riders dont have to worry if they are going to get paid on time ) ,..What Len has achieved in his lifetime in Speedway few can equal,
  8. My advice is dont assume anything about Kent Kings or indeed the make up of the National League. ..Speedway is at a crossroad in this country and any thing might happen ....
  9. I give up Gustix nothings going to happen ...
  10. Dont think its going to happen now,in a way it was a bit of a nothing meeting, in so much as nothing resting on it,but more lost earnings for the riders ,not really good enough from the promotion, not even taking the recent weather in to account other meetings have been got on.. And the lack of information from clubs involved is also bad..is it any wonder fans are becoming disalusioned with the sport ...
  11. Good news that this new to the National League club has made an early declaration of its intention to run next year,,How many will follow remains to be seen...
  12. To be fair Malcolm is the team manager and can not be held responsible,,,,this is down to the promotion to sort out...
  13. It is a totally disorganized mess...What is going on ???
  14. Thanks for that info, Had Enough,As you say there are better ways of doing things..
  15. Hi Nikko hope using the word tough, did not cause you any offence none meant ,you did a brilliant job for the promotion and will be missed im sure..Happy fishing ,but i would not go monday if i were you,, see you around somewhere no doubt,,.
  16. The key to this result was Cris Widmans 11 points from reserve coupled with Joe Jacobs dominence at the top end for the I.O.W..A nail biting meeting for both sets of fans ,,good performances from Halsey ,,Morley (excellent guest,) and Nielsen for mildenhall...And Ben Hopwood providing excellent back up to Jacobs for I.O.W ...Who just about deserved the victory with their unexpected 5-1 in heat 15... The track was the slickest i have seen it as it was nescessary to remove a large amount of shale from the track due to the weather conditions of late, making passing difficult many races seeing the top two in the race half the track in front of the lower order riders ,but this was by its nature still an entertaining meeting....Whether the final will get completed before the cut off date,, due in the main i feel to the incompetence of the league co-ordinator remains to be seen.?
  17. It would appear according to forcasts that the mega storm will not arrive until sunday night ,which means Stoke may well ..get the meeting on and completed providing the track has not been waterlogged by heavy rain on friday..
  18. You may notice Gustix ,at the bottom of Nikko,s post ,it says gone fishing,, which reading between the lines maybe means he is glad to be out of it,, And tough if there is no info from any other source ..
  19. Dont bank on the weather this weekend forcasts are dire
  20. The mother of all storms is predicted for this weekend ,if so what chance of a re-staging..
  21. Yes it is ridiculous,Does the league co-ordinator decide these things,,if so how is he going to explain his ruling, if the final does not get completed ..When a simple run off on the night could have decided this ages ago.. Time to introduce some brains to the organisation of this league.. If indeed there is going to be one next season, with the possible drop outs occuring...? Grand Central is spot on with his views ..The chaos and costs caused to the rider,s and mechanics ,etc, days at work lost ,,as well in many cases ,These lads often finish up losing more than they earn, when the meeting finally takes place...
  22. Is this meeting definately on today, whats the weather like in the area ,it is supposed to be okay this afternoon
  23. Got to say an explanation as to Connor Coles not riding at Stoke should be given at least on the B.S.P.A site,,Problem is the only person giving valid information on the club has resigned..
