I for one will be surprised if this meeting goes ahead the weather forecast is awful -
Arthur Cross love your idea of two different length races..Maybe the last two heats with nominated riders. with the 6 lapper maybe team managers could nominate a rider to go of 15meters for double points if they wished to .These kind of scenarios could bring added excitement to the end of a match....

Every one knows the league co-ordinater is not what is required for the National League ..but to run him over may have been going a bit to far ?? -

Gustix,,I think he is refering to the large Dudley fan base that follows the team to away tracks, as well as home meetings If they move up to the premier next season ,then he is suggesting that the Kings may take up the mantle of being the team with the largest fan base ,Least that s what i think he ment i could be wrong ? -

Wimbledons Stefan Nielsen 15 point max ,,Kasper Lykke 11+1,,,With good back up from Brendan Johnson and Danny Phillips proved to strong for the depleated Kent Kings winning 37-50,, who were without David Mason,,and lost Jack Kingston to injury as early as heat two ..Ben Morley battled hard for his 12 from 6 rides.. Steve Boxall had one brilliant ride when passing Kasper Lykke ,,and one poor one in Heat 13 and finished with 8 points...Adam Kirby did well to come back from a nasty fall in heat 2 when lifting out of the second bend when in front,,, he finshed with 8 points including a win ... Benji Compton after a strong start 5 from his first two rides then had bike problems in his last three rides..Connor coles had one good win in his 4 points ...Stefan Nielsen won the rider of the night award well deserved and was immaculate on his first visit to the track,,Crowd was a bit down on normal but this was an entertaining challenge match, despite a delay with problems to the starting gate.Still the curfew was just beaten with a couple of minutes to spare.. -

Expect some good passes with Kasper Lykke in the meeting for Wimbledon who will be no pushovers with Stefan Nielsen also in the side against the Kings top guns,,,in the lower order thing s may favor the Kings slightly Weather looks okay and a good match in prospect 6-30 PM START -
These types of thread are always biased towards teams supported by the fan doing the post ,Its human nature..

I do not think any one is a fan of challenge matches, but in a small league,, Kent have done remarkably well to put on extra meetings all season to keep the continuity going each week, which in turn helps to maintain the very healthy crowd levels they have had all season.. Mondays two teams look well balanced and i would expect another good turn out to watch it -

I would imagine that those concerned are more likely to try to put on an entertaining fixture filler ( because that is what this meeting is ) for the fans that have been supporting the team all season ,,rather than put out a non competitive side of retired has beens ,.just to please the non attending ex Wimbledon fans . The Caerns family providing the main connection for this meeting.... Apologies to any ex Wimbledon fans that attend Kents meetings on a regular basis i imagine that may include Parsloes 1928 nearly,, no offence intended -

Lewis Blackbird replaces Simon Lambert( broken ankle ) And oh dear ,,i dont think he has ever ridden for Wimbledon before,,Good rider though who will provide exciting racing for those that attend the meeting,,,and further discussion no doubt for those who dont.. -
With David Mason missing for what ever reason ? so R/R in operation And Stokes top 5 having been strengthened with the inclusion Of Steve Worrel and Tom Young..Kents chances of a final league victory have bee considerably reduced i think the best we can hope for is Boxall retaining the bronze helmet and the team taking a point from the meeting Hope everyone has a good meeting and stays safe

Kelsey Dugard being the latest member of the Dugard dynasty at Eastbourne i would imagine will pull a fair few fans from down there ..Obviously Len is trying to put out two balanced sides to provide a competitive match for the fans to watch Which is what is importent... -
] Maybe it will get sorted this winter ready for next year but what with the obligitory air fences needed the costs are going to be enormous I can see some tracks not running Costs need reducing ,not the other way round... Kent whistle gang yes the lighting needs improvement but this was the first meeting under lights,,there,s plenty of lights up on the gantrys but it is not that easy to get to them to move a few more on to the track We will have to see what can be done... By the way a bit cheeky liking your own post?!! ,not seen that before on here, maybe i should start applauding mine..???!!!! Jonny the Spud ,,Im afraid it normally shows through after about 3to4 races, the shale is just not binding to it,,out on the track we do our best to keep pulling the shale back in and to be fair you can still race on the chalk base ,,but it doesent look good from a spectater point of view . I dont know the answer unless you start again from scratch and that would be exspensive,,
-
You have summed Jack Kingston up nicely GreyhoundP ,,very exciting to watch makes fying passes and when he does,nt fall off you say brilliant ,,with a sigh of relief ,,,he has a way to go ,,and his gating is very patchy, but if he stays in one piece this kid will make a racer ..Solid team performance from the Kings enabled them to edge this one Boxall,s bike failing to get of the line twice probably cost us all 3 points ,, But hey we won again and everyone in kent is happy .Will be much tougher on the Island tomorrow just hope we can give a good account of ourselves ...Hope all the lads have a good safe meeting

Not a fan of double headers and the problems associated with them. to dragged out, and the on the night injuries .. Still at least we won in good style ,both meetings, and can now look forward to the cup final .. Plenty of passes on a dusty track despite constant watering , made for along but quite enjoyable evenings racing. Best wishes to the injured riders for swift recoveries -

Personally i have always considered Bryn to be one of the best most knowledgeable announcers in the business. It has been said many times already the problem is with the sound system..Keep announcing every time your asked Bryn..Top man... -
Same thing put together right, right components making it a good motor ... Obviously works well for him . Ellis is also a top rider at national league level..And if he does,nt have his engines tuned well that would amaze me ?
-
Any engine with the right parts in it and tuned for the track can be powerfull.. i doubt Adam Ellis would be riding rubbish
-
I.O.W are not looking as powerfull now as they were at the start of the season and i would expect us to win at home if Boxall is ok.. Away on the Island is a different matter most teams struggle on the massive circuit..You need a powerfull engine for a start, and set ups are also crucial ,,Looking forward to 2 good meetings next week, with all riders having enjoyable safe nights

AJ is king ,,there are numourous possibilities for a poor sound system, it may be something as simple as poor quality mics, or even a simple thing like dodgy leads causing bad connections, or the speakers are arranged in the stand in a way that distorts the sound. It probably needs a professional sound engineer to sort it out But it definatly needs sorting... -

I went up into the central part of the stand during the interval and i have to say there was little clarity in the announcements being made..You had to really consentrate to understand what was being said..And the same on the center green .. I have heard many complaints about the sound but no one is saying its the announcer,, It is the system ,,are you sure there is no reverb turned on ,,on the mixer that would cause it ,,or speakers facing one another that would cause distortion type feedback..Also turning the bass frequency down a little and turn up the high frequency a little may help
