Come on. It's all Mickey Mouse bollox granted, but you have a young lad making his debut who looks very useful and Bewley and Kurtz there... Could be some cracking racing... I presume that given it is on Eurosport they have reduced the admission to a tenner to get a big crowd in and make it look like a popular place to be and a successful sport...? With two free hours of advertising to showcase yourself, you would be daft not to wouldnt you? Maybe ask the new fella how is Uncle is bearing up as well?

In the interest of Speedway?

You are correct, but wasting your time... They have the sport they want.. A hobby that isnt taken too seriously and has no forensic analysis, nor review.. It could be so much more if the skill set of those in charge was fit for purpose.. And that is the real frustration... So many in charge of clubs today have overseen a huge decline in the sport during their tenure, so clearly dont have the capability to turn it around, and, sadly, when new ideas have come in, those with them are soon sent away disillusioned, leaving the sport to those dinosaurs who are quite happy to continue with their hobby that masquerades as a sporting contest..

We on here really need to form a syndicate to do the lottery... So many of us seem to be able to predict what happens in the future so accurately... Must be countless times when someone on here has said "he wont be there now" when discussing an upcoming meeting.. And low and behold they get proved right...!! Numbers for the Euro millions anyone? We win, we buy UK Speedway..

Watched him at the NSS... Brilliant rider, but saw also how he interacted with team mates and opponents in the pits after their races... Congratulating or commiserating with them at the pit gate... Seems like a man who loves his Speedway.. Gives everything 100%, every race.. A joy to watch...

Bomber must rub his hands every time a "Superstar" comes over here... Guaranteed extra meetings...
-
Exactly... And that is all it is.. A charade... Discovery must be delighted to have got involved with such professionalism.. The promoters must know how farcical it is at times because they deliver it with their own operating model... We fans dont take it too seriously so just let us know why things change...

He's injured..... I mean missed his flight...
-
That is yet another major issue though isn't it? They should just be able to say exactly what the situation is.. We have guest after guest after guest in virtually every meeting so the actual reasons for them have become irrelevant... Is he injured? Has he missed a flight? Is anyone talking the piss? Who cares.... This way they run the sport, it means so very little other than getting 14 riders in the same place at the same time to race 15 heats of (hopefully) entertaining racing.. We know it's all contrived and made up, so the promoters should just treat us like adults and tell us reasons why things happen.. It won't stop most from going as being "Champions" means so little overall.. The majority of fans nowadays I would suggest are "Speedway Fans" first, and want it to be successful, before getting too engaged in how successful their club is.. Put out some decent racing and crowds will turn up..

Are you a doctor? Show some compassion man....

Must admit, I am a bit disappointed by the response of some on here.. No one seems concerned as to Artem's welfare in all of this.. Get well soon Artem... #prayforartem....

To bring integrity and credibility I seem to remember were some of his aims... I aim to become an astronaut by the end of the year too... Be interesting to see which one of us gets closest...

Replace the word "club" in your final paragraph with "sport"...

I am sure Phil will sort it... This may be the sixth or seventh time so far I have used this response so going to copy and then paste it to save time in future ..

Which season of the past (insert your own number) years hasn't been? Edit: Fair play. The Covid season was ran quite well... A gift that keeps on giving...

Only one on here seems to think that. .. And they are probably not the most accurate of sources... About half of that will be the "going rate" for a top GP rider in the UK... Easy extra money without having to do too much for their level of capability... Do 10 matches and £50k... Tops up their "big contracts" (with all the reflective pressure to deliver that this brings), nicely.. £10k a night to find for "home and away" from your home meeting though is still a hell of an ask I would say, especially without a sponsor to bank roll it...

As in... "I could travel but I can't be arsed"?

I believe someone has absent mindedly left a bar of soap on the floor in the showers....

We often say on here how this country should adopt much of what Poland does, to at least try and make the sport credible over here... However.. The cost implications will prevent much of that... But.. Maybe a very cost effective improvement for the sport in the UK could be to employ Polish doctors? Over here the doctors are striking for only getting paid fourteen quid an hour, yet I am sure there would be quite a few Polish medics more than happy to come over for that.. Think about it... Each year we seem to have riders having to miss meetings over here due to being injured.. But as soon as "Healing Hands Henryk" gets his mitts on them, sometimes only a day later, they not only ride but can go through the card unbeaten... Hell.. Let's go crazy and play them fifteen quid an hour.. It would be worth it to get these "miracle workers" over here to ensure no one misses a meeting...
-
It is still £10k to find from your home crowd income though... If he rides away you pay him £5k from no income... If he only rides at home you can probably afford to keep him.. Anyhow... Get well soon Artem....

The standard of rider is fine. .. The tracks are the problem. .. Artem and Emil would enhance the series without a doubt, but all riders need a track that can showcase their unique talents.. How is Phil Morris still being allowed to produce such dire tracks, ,? Even on tracks that deliver great racing each weekend in Poland? -

His signature move... If the riders move over and allow it, then fair play to him for keeping doing it... Edit A few weeks ago I watched Nicki P change his line and rode about four yards from the kerb down the straight when Bartek was doing his usual "nail them on the apex"... On this occasion Bartek had to bail out or hit Nicki's back wheel as he cut across him... Nicki obviously watches him race, maybe one or two of the GP lads could do the same,, ... -

I think that the several hundred thousand of pounds they earn in Poland means it is far better to be available each weekend for their Polish team, than take a "high risk" move on the Saturday at the GP.. Winning the World Championship doesnt bring huge reward, but it might enhance your sponsorship opportunities, but let's be honest, for most of the lads who ride at HL in Polands top league, their sponsorship is pretty damn good already... Why risk the "real big pay days"?.. -

Fair play to Doyle and Freddie.. Old heads... But they ride each race like "winning is everything".. And take risks that others simply wont take... Bartek is undoubtedly the most talented rider, but he is also one of the most brave and committed too.. Several of the other "talents" should reflect on how they do the "hard part of the job" if they ever want to compete with him...
