To be fair there are a lot of teams that cannot race on any other day than what they do now on a regular basis due to restrictions imposed by the local authorities................. What is really needed and I have said this loads of times is for promoters to get out and do what they are there to do and that is promote and not just sit on their backsides expecting the world to come to them............... Get out into the community and talk to the people............make it a night of entertainment instead of just 15 heats...........get the powers to be to be forward thinking instead of living in the past...........may be even have an independent body to run the sport.............. Whatever happens something needs to be done and fast............ RP

I have just realised that I sound like an alcoholic on this thread knowing the best and worst pubs in Poole.......... It was not until last night though that I realised that the bar under the stand you never used to be able to get into that way..........well not when I worked in that bar in 2001.......... RP

Never gonna happen..............lol If Bournemouth had stayed around they would have been PL by now.............sadly it was not financially viable to have two teams at Poole.............. RP

The Brewhouse has always been the Brewhouse it is/was owned by Poole Brewery and they used to brew some beers on the premises.............my late father in law used to frequent it on a regular basis........... RP

Having suffered from bouts of depression for a number of years I can understand where he is coming from............fortunately for the last two years for the most part I have been in a good place............ Wishing Lewis all the best as he comes to terms with it and hope he is able to lead a better life soon............. RP

The Dolphin was always as rough as anything...........the nearest pub to me is now a good 20 minute walk and both leave a lot to be desired...........Gullivers at Kinson or the Kings Arms at Wallisdown..........even the Thatched House on East Howe Lane is now closed............ Used to be in the Tatnam a lot when I was younger..........well when you have an uncle who lives in St Margarets Road and your mother in law lives opposite where else would you go...........though to be fair it really went downhill for about 5 years before it finally closed......... RP

SCB you are right there are some lovely pubs along the quay...........if you have time to go to them............as regards the George.........I have lived within 15 miles of Poole all my life and within 5 miles for the last 29 years and I have never set foot in the place............. RP

Correct...........its not been there for about 3 years now..........may be longer...........used to be a good pub back in the late 70's and early 80's............ RP

Not any more you don't............The one up by the parade of shops where the chippy is is now a co-op (my mother in law lives opposite)..........There is the New Inn but that is a lot further down the road towards Oakdale............ RP

Answer to the one at Poole is that there used to be the Tatnam but that is now a Co-op......... The nearest now is the George on the roundabout in the town centre........... RP

Already asked what planet he/she/they are on on my own team posts............and put bluntly they need to stay out of other teams business and put their own house in order before suggesting ideas and criticising others........... RP

The couple of times I have been I have had my bag checked........and that was just from being in the queue to get in and everyone had them done............first time we got away with taking food and drink in because our son is such a faddy eater that we knew he would not eat anything in the stadium..........second time they never found anything except a load of old Sainsburys receipts............... It is Poole's old air fence..............though whether Glasgow or Gordon Pairman owns it I have no idea...........we have a nice new shiny yellow one this year............ RP

Having seen him ride well the latter end of last season and no doubt his natural talent plus help from the likes of Crump and Hancock I think he can do it this year..........but it will be a hard fought battle with Holder and NKI........... We know he is not the greatest gater and with respect he does get a bit hairy at times over taking but he is good entertainment and has calmed down a lot............. And please when judging someones past shall we call them misdemeanours take a look back and see what mistakes you have made in life............no one is perfect.......... RP
