  1. Andersen has withdrawn from the SEC - Twitter announcement from him.
  2. Remember the BSPA must have sanctioned this change - if it was outside the rules they could have vetoed it.
  3. Think the signing of Lindback by Poole will persuade BV to take the fourth placed side and force Lindback to tackle the tight confines of Monmore.
  4. I have just come across an excellent website www.3318news.co.uk but eight times out of ten it fails to load and returns a server busy message. Any cycle speedway followers finding this or any thoughts?
  5. Just read in this week's Speedway Star that Dale Entwhistle has quit and this follows the resignation of Dan Holt. These guys were from the younger contingent of referees. We know Dave Dowling is retiring at the seasons end having reached the upper age limit. From the official meeting scorecards we never see a trainee named. Do the SCB have a succession planning policy, enough referees already or just hoping no more guys opt out? Any thoughts?
  6. As long as Klindt isn't involved for Poole, they should be fine.
  7. New averages effective for this meeting. The Poole website confirms that Scott Nicholls has been booked to guest for Hans Andersen. Won't make any difference to a comfortable home win.
  8. Ports former promotor Mervyn Porter was at the NSS yesterday watching. Still keeping in touch.
  9. So David Hemsley did ride cycle speedway last Sunday at Poole. It would appear that he made the final of the event at Exeter on Bank Holiday Monday, rode and got back to Leicester speedway before it finished.
  10. Guess it's Andersen. From a Poole point of view I would be more concerned about how the authorities view tooth ache / migraine. Hardly a 'speedway related injury'.
  11. The rumour mill has started suggesting Poole are about to make a change ahead of the play offs. Milik for Pedersen is gaining momentum but just looking at Holder's demeanour in the past week I do wonder if his position is under threat especially as his away form has been only adequate at best. Who a replacement would be is unclear but it would be good if they stuck to the original 1 - 7 throughout however Matt Ford is not shy at making positive changes as he has shown in the past.
  12. I thought you couldn't have guests for an injured second string with RR the only option. Now that Sheffield is off, will Howarth move on to Lynn?
  13. Willie Dishington is the former SPL Assistant Referee who turned to speedway about 10 years ago. Based in Scotland and regularly referee's in the that area and the north of England. Believe he does a southern tour most years.
  14. Hougaard in Denmark so Leicester use RR (from Lions website).
  15. Turning around in a race of 72 seconds is easier than a race of 58 seconds
  16. Hougaard in Denmark so RR instead. Poole have chosen the wrong match to celebrate speedway.
  17. Well ridden Robins. Consistently better over the first 180 metres. After that most heats were processional. On this form, whilst both teams are likely to be semi finalists, neither will be able to beat Wolves or Belle Vue over two legs.
  18. Sorry for my error on post 23. I blame too many very late nights watching Olympics for the confusion.
  19. Count Starkey out as he'll be on duty for Somerset.
  20. Looks like Brady Kurtz will be missing. On duty for Australia in World Junior Team Cup in Sweden. Question - guest or R/R?
  21. Out of interest a friend of mine who knows about cycle speedway tells me that Dave Hemsley (a former world champion at that sport) has entered this seasons British Championship and is in a meeting at Poole on August Bank Holiday Sunday.
