Sensible decision to call it off, forecast for tonight was terrible! -
Obviously I was very dissapointed yesterday, having travelled so far & arriving in lovely weather - who wouldn't be! I can read about all the effort gone into running it & understand why they chose not to call it off earlier. The downside of their efforts falling short of creating a safe track, apart from fans wasted journeys, is how many fans will stay at home in the future of the weather is iffy (or there's been a few wet days)?

By your comments it seems all 8 teams will make the play-offs lol!

I don't get the negativity towards the side, KK only has to get a 6.9 average to be a success, it's not like he's not ridden since he left Rye House, he's been into he GPs & Polish Extraliga. Plus there's Jakobsen who is gonna put 2 points on his average straightaway, that's a big advantage over other clubs!

Oxford v Poole 20/4/22

There shouldn't have been any confusion, it's the referees job to know who is in each heat! -
Redcar, Berwick & Plymouth my top 3.
-
Did they race Newcastle last season? That would've been a guaranteed win surely!
-
I hadn't put any thought into the gates, inside might be better one day but worse the next. I guess ideally tracks should have the gates as equal as possible.

Started watching the Oxford vs Poole match on BSN. So far Kyle Newman looks very good, if he can ride like that Pirates will have a very strong reserve, whoever ends up at 6?
-
I think it would make perfect sense to put Rew at 4 for the A away matches, can put him at 2 at home & for B fixtures away.
-
Tbh it doesn't matter where teams finish in the top 6 (apart from 1st). Wether Redcar finished 2nd or 6th would still mean waiting to see which teams the "winners" pick? In theory teams should either be aiming for 1st or "top 6"
-
Gonna be tough to predict (how it should be) quite a few strong looking teams & no-one who looks especially weak!
-
They don't have one strong reserve though!

Basically the (poorly written) rules were different last year than they were when Wolves were missing their top 2! They've changed again for next year, so even if Ipswich were missing Doyle & Sayfutdinov for the play-offs they couldn't draft in Lambert!
-
Doyle's average could drop, not because he's not performing, just because it's difficult to maintain a 10+ ave. However I don't see Rew dropping much (if at all), Sayfutdinov should up his ave & Hume will be back to a 4.0 ave once rolling aves are used (no longer including his 25% reduction). Can't see a likely change for Ipswich, unless Hume struggles out of the RS berth!

I'm not convinced of 2nd place for Lynn, most of the teams have positive points to them & I'm expecting it to be very close. I certainly can't understand why so many are putting Lynn for the bottom (or bottom two). So they may be lacking a top rider, but will always have good second strings & the leagues best number 6 imo. I also feel any of their top 6 are capable of double figures, not in every match, but they can take turns being the top man!

100% agree, so much time & effort into getting Emil, but missed out on a stronger RS?
