Very true an 8.01 rider could end up being picked by the weakest club for the lowest wages, as it's them or no team. Then a 7.99 rider can ask for a kings ransom as he's so valuable to any team!

Why look for a replacement? Same situation as Plymouth, team will be far stronger using guests for as long as possible!

I don't think it's convenient at all, as it's a challenge match I'm sure Newcastle would rather BWD was able to get race fit ahead of the league campaign. If it was a league match I'd agree with you, very convenient!

I think Berwick will score more than they did at Armadale
