  1. I think it would be a mistake to sign Gappmaier, when you have more points to play with. Ideally want to build as close to 42 as possible!
  2. If Poole build a team like this, they can expect to get say 36 points from the heat leaders, that means the remaining 4 only have to score 2/3 points each to win! Nothing wrong with building top-heavy! Poole 2022? Steve Worrall 9.05 Danny King 8.99 Richard Lawson 8.51 Ben Cook 5.31 Zach Cook 4.40 Drew Kemp 3.72 Ablitt / Mulford 2.00 Total 41.98
  3. I've not read anything from Lawson or Poole & Plymouth said very little so there's no "facts" to go on! Naturally fans will have to make their own minds up in situations like these!
  4. But what if a team is missing 3 or 4 riders?
  5. If you have a reserve like Archie Freeman or Luke Crang who score 0 most weeks it makes sense to put them at number 6, giving them the hardest rides & putting your stronger reserve at 7 to score more in heats 4,8,12&14. For a team like Glasgow who could put Sedgmen at 6 to beat opposition second strings & Bailey at 7 to beat opposition reserves it makes sense to put the stronger rider at 6. However if you put a weak reserve at number 6 you're basically running with a 6 man team as you won't expect them to score anything after heat 2!
  6. I agree, I think King's Lynn will finish in the top 4.
  7. Surely not - but you never know with British Speedway!
  8. If Zagar is very expensive I wouldn't go for him, no point risking the club for one rider!
  9. Lets be serious, this is hardly a "solid" Championship side! Wolverhampton Luke Becker 10.43 Sam Masters 9.41 Steve Worrall 9.05 Nick Morris 8.61 Ryan Douglas 7.74 Leon Flint 5.89 Drew Kemp 3.72 Total 54.85
  10. I'm assuming the PJL will be far weaker than the likes of Hume riding in it! Also plans for last year was 2 home & 2 away matches, so the number 8 wouldn't be at all the matches with the junior team anyway!
  11. I would think not, it's unfair to expect a rider to remain on standby if another club offers them a spot in their team!
  12. Until the BSPL posts the final averages, I can only use Tom's ave with Eastbourne fixtures included
  13. I agree Cook is likely to go to Poole, but they haven't announced him yet, I believe Thomas would be 4.79!
  14. Here you go, taken all the top riders mentioned to make a team! Glasgow 2022? Rasmus Jensen 9.05 Craig Cook 8.69 Adam Ellis 7.47 Tom Brennan 6.32 Zach Cook 4.40 Connor Bailey 4.04 An Other 2.00 Total 41.97
  15. Totally agree with you Jaizer, I wouldn't pay money to watch a match that would be free the next day! But more likely to pay money if it wasn't going on YouTube for another 5 months!
  16. 7.43 Premiership so 11.15 Championship. He rides in the Polish Extraliga so can only ride on one other league, which I'd assume to be Denmark?
  17. But they may need the money from the sale to pay the riders?
  18. That's a bold statement to make, when two clubs aren't complete & 4 out of 6 teams make the play-offs!
  19. Morley should only be on a 7.52 ave, so great value in that figure. Can't see Ben getting a Champ spot so he wouldn't miss any fixtures either!
  20. I have no issues with guests being used, as there isn't a simple alternative. That being said, the rules should make it harder for teams to strengthen up when a rider is missing. Currently you can replace a home rider with his average + 5% and an away rider to his average. I think it would make more sense to be home rider missing = average & away rider missing = average -5%. You can pick a track specialist away from home, so losing 5% of an ave seems fair. Plus teams may be more likely to look for replacements if guests needed lower aves!
  21. Oxford 2022? Troy Batchelor 8.98 Scott Nicholls 8.95 Adam Ellis 7.47 Danny Gappmaier 5.94 Cameron Heeps 4.95 Ben Morley 3.67 Jake Mulford 2.00 Total 41.96
  22. You don't have to be a top rider, to be a top rider in Britain though!
  23. I'll say no, as Josh Bates with a 5 point Prem average used up the same points as Jordan Palin who had never ridden!
