It's a confusing one, last year to get a 1st average, 4H & 4A matches were needed. This year just 8 matches are needed (home & away split doesn't matter). Basso averaged 5.00 from his Poole matches, which was quite convenient, otherwise when would they have changed the rules for assessed averaged riders? With Basso being on a 5.00, doesn't matter if it's an assessed ave or an 8 match ave. Imagine this situation with Pawlicki at Coventry in 2010/2011, Rosco drops him to keep his assessed ave, but rules are changed & he's no longer on an assessed ave!

I don't understand that comment, Congreave is averaging less than a point & Sedgmen is 5.5, so clearly he's a lot stronger! "Even Justin Sedgmen would be better" sound to me like you think Sedgmen would get a 1.5 ave?
