  1. While Stoneman has never shown much promise at Champ level, he's only ridden 21 matches over 3 seasons, so not had much of a chance really!
  2. 8 races & 12 points is a 6.00 ave. Remove those matches & he'll have a higher ave! Unless the 2 new matches added onto the rolling aves were lower scores!
  3. I remember reading Worrall wanted away to learn another track! He felt he had mastered Armadale & needed a new challenge! Regardless the issue isn't Edinburgh dropping Worrall or Worrall leaving Edinburgh, it's the lack of communication in telling his former club he wasn't coming back!
  4. I don't see how Heeps is a gamble, he's only on a 4.95 ave, so fills a second string spot, if he signed on a 7.0 ave I'd agree a gamble!
  5. I don't think that would've been the case, it was well documented that there was a lack of riders due to Covid / Brexit / Polish rules. The main difference was the RS rule gave Danyon Hume a Champ spot (deservedly) & allowed for stronger guests at reserve (e.g Leon Flint replacing weaker riders)!
  6. If Etheridge moves up, another strong reserve will appear! While Berwick may be weaker in heats 13+15, they'd be stronger in heats 12+14!
  7. That would leave 4.7 available to replace Schlein
  8. I disagree, I think it's more important to be solid, so Etheridge starts at reserve!
  9. Nope they said it was a 5 year scheme and they "planned" for clubs to have 2 RS in 2022!
  10. How about? Berwick Chris Harris 7.91 Ben Barker 6.87 Ricky Wells 6.70 Leon Flint 5.89 Theo Pijper 5.51 Jye Etheridge 5.35 Kyle Bickley 3.51 Total 41.74
  11. Easy to fix, when or if the BSPL ever announce final aves!
  12. Bradley Wilson-Dean's last ave was 5.47 in Prem. 5.47 x 1.5 = 8.21
  13. Leicester 2022? Nick Morris 8.61 Richie Worrall 7.76 Kyle Howarth 7.52 Connor Mountain 5.06 Dan Thompson 5.03 Anders Rowe 3.99 Joe Thompson 3.65 Total 41.62
  14. While it's not a bad suggestion for riders to achieve a certain NDL ave before being allowed in the Champ, there's riders like Dan Bewley & Connor Bailey who coped with being thrust into the middle tier to start with!
  15. Not trying to be nasty, just honest! Freeman had 12 matches, 35 rides & scored only 3 points, each of those was in front of a non-finisher! I'm guessing he was signed because it would be cheap & the team was already weak! For him free / paid practice (providing his confidence wasn't destroyed)!
  16. 1) what need was there to "press" Archie into the team, there must've been at least 20+ riders who could've replaced JPB at number 7? 2) why wouldn't Rob Grant let someone else take over the Gems if they were going to pay for it? Makes no sense!
  17. Richie & 4.37 available Steve & 3.08 available Which Worrall are people suggesting? Leicester Nick Morris 8.61 Richie Worrall 7.76 Kyle Howarth 7.52 Connor Mountain 5.06 Dan Thompson 5.03 4.37 Joe Thompson 3.65 Total 42.00 Leicester Steve Worrall 9.05 Nick Morris 8.61 Kyle Howarth 7.52 Connor Mountain 5.06 Dan Thompson 5.03 Joe Thompson 3.65 3.08 Total 42.00
  18. Poole won the league with a strong top 3, Glasgow finished 2nd with a strong top 1+1/2 (2 with Ostergaard, 1 when he was injured), Leicester finished 3rd with a strong top 4, Edinburgh finished 5th with a strong top 3! Heat leaders alone don't win leagues, Poole had points from reserve to!
  19. The big difference is those young Brits scored points for their teams last year, no offence to Freeman but he was the worst rider in the league! Not blaming him - he was put into the Champ before he had mastered the NDL so couldn't be expected to score points!
  20. I've just noticed that as Lawson signed on 31/5 he did don't have a new Champ ave, maybe he would've got a converted ave if he signed on 1/6?
  21. They convert averages when going Prem - Champ, so unless the rules are different for going the other way, they must convert aves when going from Champ - Prem? I noticed Adam Ellis used a converted ave, when signing for Scunthorpe after the season started, but Richard Lawson didn't when signing for King's Lynn - a tad confusing! Why would Ellis get his Prem ave converted & Lawson not get his Champ ave converted, when their situations are identical?
  22. No they don't, Adam Ellis had a Champ & Prem ave from 2019, but signed for Scunthorpe on a converted Prem ave! Unless they rules are different for moving up compared to dropping down?
  23. If Rowe misses the start of the Prem season, he'd then come in on a converted Champ ave (3.00) & be more valuable to teams / able to ask for a better deal?
