  1. I wondered how the teams would look using Championship averages: 1st Belle Vue 55.78 2nd Sheffield 55.62 3rd Wolves 55.37 4th King's Lynn 55.12 5th Ipswich 54.50 6th Peterborough 51.02 Belle Vue Max Fricke 12.00 Brady Kurtz 10.91 Charles Wright 8.58 Jake Allen 7.88 Tom Brennan 6.03 Jye Etheridge 5.38 Norick Blodorn 5.00 Connor Bailey 4.28 Total 55.78 Ipswich Jason Doyle 12.00 Danny King 9.22 Troy Batchelor 9.11 Erik Riss 7.84 Paul Starke 6.27 Cameron Heeps 5.05 Danyon Hume 5.01 Anders Rowe 3.78 Total 54.50 King's Lynn Peter Kildemand 10.65 Josh Pickering 8.34 Richard Lawson 8.62 Thomas Jorgensen 7.10 Lewis Kerr 7.66 Richie Worrall 8.13 Jack Thomas 4.61 Jake Mulford 2.00 Total 55.11 Peterborough Scott Nicholls 9.07 Chris Harris 8.11 Hans Andersen 8.00 Ulrich Ostergaard 7.82 Michael P Toft 7.32 Jordan Palin 5.70 Ben Basso 5.00 Dan Gilkes 3.89 Total 51.02 Sheffield Jack Holder 12.00 Tobiasz Musielak 9.32 Craig Cook 9.02 Kyle Howarth 7.79 Adam Ellis 7.66 Connor Mountain 5.19 Stefan Nielsen 4.64 Dan Thompson 5.05 Total 55.62 Wolverhampton Luke Becker 10.43 Sam Masters 9.41 Steve Worrall 9.28 Nick Morris 8.58 Ryan Douglas 7.96 Leon Flint 6.04 Drew Kemp 3.67 Joe Thompson 3.64 Total 55.37
  2. Having Worrall & Kemp paired together twice certainly seems a weak pairing. That being said Masters & Becker are a very strong pairing. I defo wouldn't have put Worrall at 5.
  3. Vissing only lost to Morris, Worrall & Howarth and finishes on 8 from 5 rides. Shows how difficult it could be for visiting heat leaders at Leicester this year! On the other side Joe Thompson scores a paid max from number 7, of the riders he raced against, only once did they beat a Leicester rider (not counting non-finishes)! So was Joe good or just have an easy night against weak opposition? Or maybe both?
  4. After last night's performance, I'm guessing Plymouth could beat Newcastle without a 7th rider!
  5. It's rediculous that different teams use different rules - only in Speedway eh! Rules should be made simpler not more difficult to understand for sure!
  6. I have no idea why no drawn matches isn't good for "TV"? What's wrong with a draw?
  7. My point exactly, the rule was used twice last year, once for a rider who hadn't ridden yet (Glasgow) and once for a rider who never arrived (Poole).
  8. I don't think Edwards is particularly weak, but after heat 2, he meets the 1+2 / 3+4 pairings, with Newcastle having a solid top 5, it's a difficult position (number 6)!
  9. If Morley is guesting for Ellis, should Nielsen not still be at reserve? Should Birmingham not be using the 75% ave rule, Poole & Glasgow used last year?
  10. Only Poole's reserves on lower aves than Redcar's. Jenkins should be the highest scoring reserve, but expect Edwards to score 1-2 & Congreave 0-1.
  11. Now everyone has completed their sides, at least temporarily, here goes: 1. King's Lynn 2. Sheffield 3. Wolverhampton 4. Peterborough 5. Belle Vue 6. Ipswich
  12. Chad Wirtzfield, if he fancies another go at NL?
  13. This would be my choice of riding order: 1. Claus Vissing 2. James Shanes 3. Josh Auty 4. Ashley Morris 5. Adam Ellis 6. Stefan Nielsen 7. James Pearson
  14. I'm predicting a 7 man Newcastle team can beat a 6 man Plymouth team. Until Plymouth finalise their team, not possible to predict them any higher!
  15. Now Birmingham have 7 riders, need to change my predictions again: Poole Glasgow Leicester Oxford Birmingham Redcar Berwick Edinburgh Scunthorpe Newcastle Plymouth
  16. That comment sounds like they have a weak team planned, a strong team doing well wouldn't be surprising!
  17. That's not someone being nasty, as MPT has the lowest ave of the 6 numbers ones & 4 of the number twos, that's a fair assessment pre-season!
  18. If that's the reason for Wethers being at number 2, Newcastle certainly wouldn't admit it!
  19. With 2 opposition reserves weaker than any other Championship reserve, Diamonds will hope Congreve can score well.
  20. PJL will only consist of 2 x home matches, or possibly 3 if making the final.
