  1. The rules seemed to be based around Josh Bates fitting in: Under 25, or less than 3 seasons experience Prem ave below 5.50 (Bates was 5.20) Champ ave below 6.50 (Bates was 6.35) Riders like Luke Crang, Greg Blair & Tom Bacon qualified to due experience not age. Bates, Hume & Bowtell all turn 25 before next season starts. Of course the rules could've been changed without telling the fans?
  2. I'm sure Danyon Hume is too old to be a rising star in 2022
  3. Perhaps Mulford & Ablitt could both race in the NDL team & share a team spot in the Champ?
  4. But that doesn't explain why Leon Flint & Jordan Palin carried on scoring well after moving into the top 5! Their form suggest the jump up from reserve isn't so hard?
  5. If Birmingham have to race 20 meetings to make the rent pay, perhaps they could go though in every round of the KOC regardless of score & get a place in the play-offs regardless of league position? Wouldn't be the worst rule made in Speedway lol
  6. How is Dan's average "inflated" because he spent half the season at reserve, but Joe's average isn't when he spent the whole season at reserve? Besides Dan's good scores came from the harder number 6 position, so the jump to second string shouldn't slow him down much! I'm not sure why his scoring tailed off so much?
  7. If that's true Poole should offer him less money, he can't go back to Plymouth!
  8. I don't think it's possible for any rider on a 2.00 Ave to be "any good" otherwise they wouldn't be a 2.00 rider! It's very possible to have a 2.00 rider who is very promising & likely to become "good" such as Mulford who averaged over 8 in his first full NL season
  9. That's the Extraliga rules not letting them ride in multiple countries not Wroclaw's
  10. Jason Edwards, Nathan Ablitt, Jake Mulford
  11. My thoughts entirely, seems very negative to believe a team with no riders signed yet, won't beat a team with no riders signed yet!
  12. James Sarjeant (4.16) would be my pick to complete that team!
  13. As Ellis had a good year for Sheffield, it will be difficult for him to up his average! That's the only reason not to bring him back, which is a fault of speedway - doing well so losing your team spot!
  14. It's a forum, predictions, realistic or not are allowed!
  15. Given Allen has a higher Champ ave than Palm-Toft, I'd be hoping he could bring that form into the Prem if signed?
  16. While that makes sense, for Kennett the reverse could have happened, he was lucky to find a team spot I feel! Also what if the Craig Cook / track staff incident has happened this year? Could Cook ask to get the fine he paid back as the match "didn't happen"?
  17. I get your point, but the points scored counted towards the averages till the season ended! So how can the matches count for averages then but not now? I know it's simpler to remove the matches after the season ends, but technically if they don't count should have been removed immediately!
  18. Yes you can, it's very easy! Remove Eastbourne from the league table, but don't remove the scores. Done!
  19. Actually Sedgmen's average never changed much at all, so didn't really get worse. But he certainly didn't UP his average in the way Glasgow would've hoped / expected him to do once dropping to reserve!
  20. But because of the play-offs that result become irrelevant, they still made the final, so scoring extra points in the league campaign doesn't matter (unless finishing 1st)
  21. I'm glad for Kinsley getting a team spot, as I am for all Brits, but do feel this is the most underwhelming opening signing I can remember ever! After his scores last year, can't imagine the signing would be well appreciated! Would've been better to make him the 7th signing, if there was 3.00 left & Kinsley signed, wouldn't felt a more shrewed move!
  22. Just to cause an argument, why is Broc's ave only 5.5 then?
