Number 8 for each team and Junior League

Interesting idea, not sure what Peterborough would've thought if they had to replace an injured Andersen / Harris / Pedersen with a junior though? -
Number 8 for each team and Junior League
szkocjasid replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A few thoughts about the press release issued: "Tom Brennan played his part in Great Britain’s stunning world title glory at the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations" As has been mentioned before if Kai Ward rode for GB & finished his two heats, GB still would have won! “Whilst some 2nd half junior racing took place in 2021, with a full league season planned for 2022 we are excited about incorporating the Premiership Junior League competition into our race nights and showcasing the sport's future Rising Stars. A full League season planned for 2021, but no mention of why it was cancelled? “The number eight rider in each team will also gain huge experience from being part of the club and it is envisaged that during the season they may get a chance to contribute and where possible go on to become the Rising Star rider at a club the following season.” They MAY get a chance to contribute! Sounds like they'll be back up for a missing RS! -
Plymouth Gladiators 2022
szkocjasid replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'd say Plymouth have potentially 4 heat leaders. Not an out & out number one, but 4 riders who can average from say 7-8.5. After his best season so far Alfie Bowtell will do well if he can ave 5.3-5.4, but more difficult now he's in the 1-5 though, so don't expect a big increase in average. At reserve is where Plymouth are a bit weaker, two promising Brits, but with a 42.00 team limit can expect other clubs to have stronger reserves. If Eastbourne's matches are included in riders averages Plymouth start 1.7 below the points limit, ideally you'd want to use all the points available for your team! Can't really predict where they'll finish till other teams complete their line ups! But look stronger than in 2021! -
With those 6 riders, don't have a lot of points left, so can't go any stronger than Morley! Unless dropping Jensen or Nicol for Basso or Hume to gain an extra half a point?
-
Until a rider is announced, I'll put him in any predicted team
-
Fantasy speedway perhaps, but comes to 39 exactly; Belle Vue 2022? Max Fricke 8.81 Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 Niels K Iversen 7.54 Peter Kildemand 7.10 Jake Allen 4.80 Jordan Palin 3.00 Tom Brennan RS Total 39.00
-
Peterborough 2022? Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 Niels K Iversen 7.54 Chris Harris 6.84 Krzys Buczkowski 6.02 Bradley W-Dean 5.47 Jason Crump 5.36 Jordan Palin RS Total 38.98

Not exactly "finished" as a rider. If he had a 3.00 ave I'd agree with you.
-
How about Kyle Newman instead of Kemp?
-
Bit of a weak tail? But certainly a strong number one & 4 other potential heat leaders!
-
How about just bringing in one new rider? Glasgow 2022? Craig Cook 8.69 Ulrich Ostergaard 7.96 Tom Brennan 6.32 Sam Jensen 5.80 Broc Nicol 5.50 Connor Bailey 4.04 Ben Morley 3.67 Total 41.98

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022
szkocjasid replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunthorpe 2022? Ryan Douglas (7.74) Jake Allen (7.72) Nikolaj B Jakobsen (6.34) Simon Lambert (5.83) Jordan Palin (5.69) Zane Kennedy (5.00) Ryan Kinsley (3.00) Total (41.32) -
Plus Marcin Nowak has a 6.35 CMA, but didn't do enough meetings to get an ave!
-
I was confused by that, Hume must have a higher ave than Basso, if he doesn't 2.5% reduction must've been used - but not for any other Brits on this list! What's going on?
-
Gotta disagree, I rate Allen more than Heeps (now & in the future)
-
How can the club not know his correct average? Averages should he simple to follow in Speedway!
-
I get Dickson's point, but some of his riders who rode against Eastbourne have joined other teams - some averages would've gone up / some down - for all teams, doesn't just affect Leicester.
-
Once you add his last match of 2018 on, his average is 5.51 again
-
Pleased with the signing of Pijper. Keeps Etheridge at reserve to start with, so they'll always have a strong reserve - even if Theo drops down. Just need to find a 3rd heat leader now, Josh Auty?
-
Of course it's possible to do this, wouldn't call it simple though. But if fans can work out the averages, what's the benefit of not publishing them? I've also not read anything official that states if the Eastbourne matches are removed for final averages.
-
Knowing the averages allows fans to make educated guesses on who will be in teams, not knowing the averages makes it less fun as you don't know if your "dream team" is legal!
-
Could not agree more

Bacon had ridden 3 seasons so shouldn't have qualified as a RS. I believe he was allowed in as they weren't full seasons due to injury! I personally feel he should've been a RS as before he retired I'd say he had more potential than say (no offence lads) Danny Phillips, Tom Woolley, Ryan T Daley etc.
-
I don't see how they can wait till 7th Dec to agree on averages & some teams will be complete by then

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
szkocjasid replied to CowleyCheetahs's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The RS could only have remained in the Champ if the gradings were changed, as most of last year's 1/2/3* riders are now 4* riders!
