Which makes Glasgows recent support of Edinburgh even more honourable and genuine.
-
I think your expectation to announce 'no sponsor yet', is not exactly good business, do you ? It's a bit like no announcements when the old club was being closed down, whilst a new one was being created with a new owner, and then no riders had been signed. What do people expect, as they plainly have never ran a business.
-
Agree Paul. Let's hope George stops him playing with other engines like last year and gets him to stick to what he has/knows.
-
Exactly. Even if only for business reasons Glasgow will want Edinburgh to survive as long as they can. Some folks in speedway only know how to moan sometimes.
-
Total over reaction and not true. It's NJL BTW.
-
Which he doesn't usually.
-
I think we should be OK given what Parsy29 said.
-
If a 7 pointer was to get 7-9 points every meeting away, they wouldn't be 7 pointers.

When I was involved, you submitted your team when it was complete and waited till the BSPA looked at them near the start of the season when anomolies were raised for solution. I don't think the SCB looked at them, but the BSPA Office manager gave the nod it was accepted. Sounds like the SCB are now acting in the vacuum of not having an independant adjudicator which the sport can't really afford, especially with all the extra clerical work and other overheads

28,000 reasons for doing that.

Yes, but the other place is nice and warm.
-
Feel free to disagree.

I think the decision about Nicholls and Kennett will be holding up decisions and signings for both Newcastle and Peterborough.
-
At Newcastle it really doesn't matter who is captain as both Ludde and Robbo seem to get involved together. Ludde is the appointed Club captain, and does a good job, but Robbo is allways there to help anyway. Time to move on.
-
As usual totally wrong. Matej wanted away from Havvy and in fact moved out of his house I believe. We fancied Kus and signed him. The following year we already had Steve Worrall and went for the big one Robert Lambert. So it was either Matej or Ludde and it was decided to go for Ludde as he brings more with him. This year Matej is riding in Poland so no Sundays for him, and he has gone on loan to your new promotion. But don't let facts get in the way. Good luck Matej this year.

A very ageist reply that RR. Doesn't make you Mastermind but.
-
Bit of a contradiction there RR, but I suppose that would just fly over your head. You never change do you.

Knowing actual crowds, and what that looks like serves me well to quote Redcar. Workington opened in 1999 with an actual crowd of 4400 and that just about filled Derwent Park. There is no way 4400 people can get into Redcar and see the track. It might have been 10 mins away if my surname was Bolt.
-
Try lined tracksuit bottoms, even on a good day. We locals might put a light coat on.
-
That could only be true if Ged had wanted to host the 4's again this year. Maybe the circuit wasn't available this year at the right time. Anyway it's Redcar now and I'm happy with that.
-
There seems an irony that the 4's move from the track Ged got, to the track he wanted to run in the first case. But best of luck Redcar, they will do a good job I am sure, and it's a lot less miles for me and my Northern brethren. They have already held the 4's meeting for the NJL 4's for about 4 years now. I think we will still miss Peterborough as that day out is always something special to me and my family as it is with most fans.

Didn't know about that facility. On the busier nights I have used the motor circuits parking and also used their inside facilities after the meeting with the DIamonds team, but I don't believe that arrangement is available now. Of course that car skid training track used to be part of the original speedway parking. If I don't see you before, I'll see you in April for the Diamonds meeting. Take Care.
-
Press have been wrong before. I was told over 4000 the week later, the same as the councils agreed limit I was told. Do you realise what 5000 fans look like ?. You wouldn't get them in.
-
Is that one of the industrial sites that have been cleared now.
-
I was on the road for your first meeting and it was quite a distance away hence why I mentioned it. I was also on that grass bank till the Cooncil Officer moved us on, or the meeting could not continue. If I remember right the councils crowd limit was about 2900 for that night, but as I said in the earlier post, a few more sneaked in so they changed their tac to make sure we were all safe.
