  1. That's scraping the barrell there, the lad is still lay on the track and you're points scoring.
  2. I know there's plenty of banter going on but this is just an average meeting so far, pretty much what I've come to expect on most domestic tracks, Saddlebow last week and Poole the other week, we're lucky to get more than a handful of decent races most weeks.
  3. That was just Ben being Ben there, leg back throttle wide open and come what may.
  4. Hey don't get too full of yourself, it ain't that good, just not as bad as the poole pikey is suggesting.
  5. God there's another awful race in ht6, I'm seriously thinking of turning it off.
  6. I think Poole's track requires a little more than attention, major surgery would be more appropriate based on the tv meeting the other week. I agree this one tonight isn't looking too clever so far but it generally ends up producing decent racing, here's hoping.
  7. Oh my mistake, I thought the bit where you said, "let's hope bt pull the plug on speedway" meant that you hoped bt would pull the plug on speedway.
  8. Can't argue with that but I do think we should cut Cook a bit of slack, at least until Cardiff where he will have an opportunity to show that last night was the exception rather than the rule. I know we can't afford for anyone, least of all our captain, to have an off night on such an occasion but realistically, as you say, we still achieved what anyone could have expected. I think he'll do ok at Cardiff, the track will suit him far better and that will help his confidence, wouldn't be surprised if he makes the semis. We all know it's a confidence sport and last night must have shattered his, now he needs a good couple of weeks to rebuild, I've still got high hopes for him.
  9. Think you'll find the vast majority of comments here regarding the coverage are constructive rather than 'bad mouthing', we're all grateful that BT took it on but there's no harm in commenting on how they may improve it. So I reckon you're the only one here who hopes they pull the plug.
  10. It's not meetings he's lined up, he's just managed to blag some cut price saver tickets for the water slide.
  11. Good points, especially regarding a third studio guest, a bit like when sky used to have say Loram & Havelock, (no I'm not advocating Havelock), their conversation would naturally generate debate, it needs to be someone who won't pull any punches. Any ideas? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.
  12. That last heat showed how Lambert can ride once the pressure's off, these lads must have been blown away by this crowd. Well done Poland, easily the best team in the world. Special mention for Lindback, been inspired tonight.
  13. Agreed, here's hoping they smash it back at them by grabbing 3rd place.
  14. Ok, you crack on with that theory Walter, we both know you're wide of the mark.
  15. Ah well, my mistake, you do seem bitter, as R&R says as if the Poles would be so stupid. They are just better than us on their own tracks, also pretty good on ours when it's NSS.
  16. I don't think it's bitterness, just abject disappointment that we're so far off the pace. Men v boys as far as we're concerned.
  17. Well they were seeded last year, if that's what you're referring to. I agree though, he's done a decent job, much prefer him to muddlo.
  18. Worrall worked hard for that point but there's just no speed in our boys engines, he was stuck on the inside I assume because he couldn't have got the drive in the dirt. Well done Bomber.
  19. No change given by Majic on Sunderstrom then, harsh but fair.
  20. Something needs doing for sure, in a team competition it should be the team who suffer whatever punishment, not allowing them the use of the joker would be a start, problem is it's not always as obvious as it was in Batchelors case. Scrap the thing altogether and the majority would celebrate the fact.
  21. Not quite, it was Kelvin who straight away said he thought there'd be repercussions, this stopped Nigel in his tracks as he was in mid scream about the fact that the Aussies could now use the joker. I've noticed Nigel always seems to push the joker aspect in commentary, more so than he needs to, fair enough keep new viewers informed but no need to shout it from the rooftops, very reminiscent of It's a knockout, it's an embarrassment to the sport imo.
  22. I don't think you'll find an argument to that on here, unfortunately the clowns that run the sport still seem to think it's a great idea.
