  1. I hope the Cradley fans give the Scunny team the respect they deserve. After all, they are only 7 lads trying to make their way in the sport and so early on getting caught up in the 'politics' is not good
  2. He rode well at Leicester yesterday. Much more controlled and a much more mature rider than last year.
  3. Who do you actually think has the agenda Hooper. Leicester or the BSPA ?
  4. There you go unattached !!!!But i'm only guessing don't know for sure
  5. I suppose we will have to wait till we see who he is replaced with.
  6. Probably because Tom was in the original line up so therefore in a 'declared' way if you will. Leicester probably had to declare 7 riders and replace them to cover unavailabilityas per NL rules. I don't imagine they would have been able to pick and choose for each meeting or it wouldn't have made it fair on the other teams in the Trophy If that's the case then Neale would be guesting for Shanes. I don't think it matters if he is helping out or not. Neale is in another declared line up
  7. Luke Priest and don't say journeyman cos Lee Dicken was hardly inspired. I'd rathet they left it as it was to see how it plays out
  8. but you can't gauge 1 team on the whole league. As you say Coventry have an MDL team so it is a little shameful
  9. I agree shock of shocks I do think a standard has been set and now teams are going up there with a scoreline in mind not to be seen as weaker than others who have been.
  10. Really felt for Ben who was on course for a win when he packed up becauae when he gets in front he is fast
  11. I said that as I was listening on the radio The country is obsessed with 16 year olds. Starke has come on leaps and bounds since with the Heathens. Blackbird wasn't doing too well in PL till he joined the Heathens and he is flying. Ritchings joined the Heathens for a season and picked his game up. You have to give credit where it's due. They build to the same points limit as everyone else
  12. it does seem to be how many can you beat Scunnny by and can you score mor than 30 at Cradley. Apart from that the rest are all good fairly level
  13. Well said but I think sadly most supporters have migrated to FB and Twitter
  14. To be fair it does seem there is more action in the stadium car parks these days than on the track.
  15. I don't point fingers the point I was making was that it's a shame they can't support their team if not the promotion but then I can't question it as I can't sympathise with how they feel I genuinely feel for them that they can't enjoy what I do. I was also making the point that I was hostile to joining the EL but went with an open mind and found it not all that bad maybe if I hadn't liked it I may feel slightly different. I had watched EL meetings before but had no affinity to and found myself getting bored but obviously a connection of a team to support is completly different and the poster was saying that the change in league hadn't suited him or her. Apologies but i'm not getting into a Leicester track debate on here.
  16. Fair enough I stand corrected. My apologies. Sounds like a bit of an oversight by George who to be fair seems quite a switched on bloke. Mind you it wouldn't be the 1st tome that something has been agreed in principle then backtracked
  17. I'm confused sorry. If he isn't riding PL why would you factor him in wven hypothetically. Is this a gordie thing?
  18. You wish. Where did all this Lambert stuff come from. I'm not sure how to put this. Which part of he aint riding PL is so difficul to grasp
  19. And you can't be blamed for that. You must find yourself in an impossible situation and badly let down. Maybe you could attend when some of the better teams are in town.
  20. I felt the same way about joining the EL I just didn't feel like EL would offer md what the PL did but then I went to a couple and found they were just riders in Lions race jackets on and I have embraced it. I do miss the likes of Magnus and Nemo but maybe the draft has made it more of a draw to me, I don't know, but I am enjoying it and have found myself going to more away meetings aswell bbutif you've tried it and it does nothing fir you then you can't be blamed. Can I ask what it is that puts you off? because NL does nothing for me is a bit broad
  21. You take it for granted at your peril. Some Lions fans don't have the best relation with the management, for what ever reason but they'll to support the Lions riders not the management. After all 28 years of hoping and dreaming focuses the mind. I will stick my neck out and say from a rider point of view the Stoke management is good and motivated riders win meetings if they have the ability ........simple. Although I am limitrd on experience of other teams but that's why I can't understand why last year went so wrong for Stoke they had good riders but maybe injuries and mechanical gremlins can't help well run or not. Anyway, I suppose though supporters want a club that's run for them. As a Lions fan I just want a club that runs.
  22. Mike, the weather forecast for tomorrow at Leicester is very good with not a hint of rain(touch wood). I shall be there to watch a few hours of action packed racing from all age groups. It may not be publicised very much on here or elsewhere but it is on the Lions website and David Hemsley and Alan Jones were plugging it heavily on Radio Leicester this week so they deserve a pat on the back, and of course they hosteda Youth Training day recently. Martin PS Forgot to log Tina out!! Boy will I be in trouble later.
  23. I'm glad you said that. I thought I'd imagined it.
  24. Are you sure it's not for Williamson? Who's at Peterboro
