  1. Well said but I think sadly most supporters have migrated to FB and Twitter
  2. To be fair it does seem there is more action in the stadium car parks these days than on the track.
  3. I don't point fingers the point I was making was that it's a shame they can't support their team if not the promotion but then I can't question it as I can't sympathise with how they feel I genuinely feel for them that they can't enjoy what I do. I was also making the point that I was hostile to joining the EL but went with an open mind and found it not all that bad maybe if I hadn't liked it I may feel slightly different. I had watched EL meetings before but had no affinity to and found myself getting bored but obviously a connection of a team to support is completly different and the poster was saying that the change in league hadn't suited him or her. Apologies but i'm not getting into a Leicester track debate on here.
  4. Fair enough I stand corrected. My apologies. Sounds like a bit of an oversight by George who to be fair seems quite a switched on bloke. Mind you it wouldn't be the 1st tome that something has been agreed in principle then backtracked
  5. I'm confused sorry. If he isn't riding PL why would you factor him in wven hypothetically. Is this a gordie thing?
  6. You wish. Where did all this Lambert stuff come from. I'm not sure how to put this. Which part of he aint riding PL is so difficul to grasp
  7. And you can't be blamed for that. You must find yourself in an impossible situation and badly let down. Maybe you could attend when some of the better teams are in town.
  8. I felt the same way about joining the EL I just didn't feel like EL would offer md what the PL did but then I went to a couple and found they were just riders in Lions race jackets on and I have embraced it. I do miss the likes of Magnus and Nemo but maybe the draft has made it more of a draw to me, I don't know, but I am enjoying it and have found myself going to more away meetings aswell bbutif you've tried it and it does nothing fir you then you can't be blamed. Can I ask what it is that puts you off? because NL does nothing for me is a bit broad
  9. You take it for granted at your peril. Some Lions fans don't have the best relation with the management, for what ever reason but they'll to support the Lions riders not the management. After all 28 years of hoping and dreaming focuses the mind. I will stick my neck out and say from a rider point of view the Stoke management is good and motivated riders win meetings if they have the ability ........simple. Although I am limitrd on experience of other teams but that's why I can't understand why last year went so wrong for Stoke they had good riders but maybe injuries and mechanical gremlins can't help well run or not. Anyway, I suppose though supporters want a club that's run for them. As a Lions fan I just want a club that runs.
  10. Mike, the weather forecast for tomorrow at Leicester is very good with not a hint of rain(touch wood). I shall be there to watch a few hours of action packed racing from all age groups. It may not be publicised very much on here or elsewhere but it is on the Lions website and David Hemsley and Alan Jones were plugging it heavily on Radio Leicester this week so they deserve a pat on the back, and of course they hosteda Youth Training day recently. Martin PS Forgot to log Tina out!! Boy will I be in trouble later.
  11. I'm glad you said that. I thought I'd imagined it.
  12. Are you sure it's not for Williamson? Who's at Peterboro
  13. If needed the ambulance goes onto the track ie in the Roynon case amd I imagine suspected back injuries but if it is a case ie Mon at Kent the car goes out almost like a triage if you will.I was at Workington when Ingalls had his smash and the way forward then was to leave him on the track till the county ambulance arrived as they concluded it would be better just to move him the once.
  14. Surely in terms of on track medical assistance all that's needed is a 4x4 or something to collect the injured rider like they do at Coventry.
  15. You see incapable of carrying a grudge for more than 24 hours :-)
  16. To be fair to Chessell he rode very well at Stoke and was the difference in the scoreline wit Compton ruled out
  17. I thinl what made me think of it was going to the PLRC and everyone being so amicable. I've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed it
  18. No wonder everyone says therr is no atmosphere at meetings anymore that is extraordinary
  19. Apologies on the updates side Liam Carr didn't hit the fence and fall on the centre gree as I thought. His chain went and whipped hos leg that's why he ended up on the centre green. Also I missed thd Bronze Helmet and when I asked about it was told Carf and Wilson but it was Atkin and Wilson Topspin (on updates)
  20. Thanks for your thoughts..... Sorry for thread name cock up
  21. Fair enough it just dawned on me that the PL don't seem to have a villain
