  1. Ooooh nurse my sides !!!!!!!! Youv'e got me there!!!!!!
  2. Ummm yes all those training sessions and academies that they hold on 'Dudley high street' You making fun of supporters who don't have their own track and have to track share. I never thought you would stoop that low.but clearly I was wrong. If they had their own track the question woudn't even arise because they wouldn't be in this league
  3. and I imagine Jayne will be looking for a guest that day for Charles wright.
  4. Ummm less clear again. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Oh ok thanks!! I imagine on that basis he would be missing what ever time the meeting started.
  6. Having sad that with Morris Blackbird and Roynon all riding in the same meeting if they didn't get there the time would have to be delayed, I imagine. Why would Perry be missing???
  7. This maybe a continuation of last weeks fiasco when Leicester were supposed to put their meeting back till 7.30 so Lewis could ride in both but Leicester put their meeting back on the 19th and Mildenhall brought their meeting forward last week. I don't think it is a viable option anyway really because in the end the Mildenhall meeting didn't start till 4.45 because of rain so Blackbird would have had to shoot off. So the riders being able to do 2 meetings in one day is a risky business and I'd say a non starter really especially with lenghty stoppages traffic etc........I know Darren Mallet did it once he rode for YS at Rye and then KL for the stars or something like that but the distance between the tracks is small. I must admit I have never seen the 19th advetised as 3.00.
  8. I know Kerr is your no.1 tonite because it was on the YS FB page!!!!
  9. That did make me chuckle and there isn't much of that around at the moment. I hope Mildenhall aren't too down on themselves they have had an amazing run and JJ just obviously was caught on the backfoot but the lad has been doing well I hope this doesn't knock him but to be fair when Micheal Lee rants he gets results......... still a very good team!!!!!!! It's just unfortunate that there are so many fixture clashes and Lewis deseves his place in the PL but at the mo NL is his bread and butter he has worked hard it's a shame that PL teams couldn't get all revolutionary in their thinking and swap reserves for instance!!!!!. Somerset and Leicester swap Perry for Blackbird and then Lewis wouldn't have the fixture clashes but is that too dafter idea am I way off ????
  10. I'd say all that has happened here is cross wires........Clearly Mildenhall thought the Double header would be today and Leicester thought it was the 19th and this has caused some last minute phone calls. Although it is a little surprising it was allowed to get this far. Nobody would have been any the wiser if it had of been R/R for Lewis today. As to Lewis' loyalties I think the rules dictate where his priorities lye not him otherwise Leicester would be frantically ringing round for a guest now.
  11. You are quite right Richard it should be the main aim of the MDL but it does seem to be one rule for one and one for another. A rider as you well know turned up at Sheffield to ride with full agreement of both team managers and was stopped from riding, when as you say all efforts had been made to find a suitable replacement, which meant LE operated R/R is this the ethos of the league? when it wouldn't have harmed to let him ride and deduct his points, as you say track time is the main aim Anyway keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Yes!!!!!Private one between me and montie I'm affraid well me montie and his 2 yard sticks one that he uses for Scunthorpe and one that he uses for the rest of the NL
  13. My first visit to the IOW hopefully not the last you have a great set up down there. A briliant meeting with some good racing both teams were unlucky with engine failures and a couple of falls for the Hitmen. I have to say Adam Ellis, don't know much about him apart from he lives in France. was ceratinly a great guest for the IOW. From http://www.buxtonhitmen.co/ ISLE OF WIGHT 49 BUXTON 44 Tuesday July 31, 2012 NATIONAL LEAGUE Isle of Wight 49: Danny Warwick 11, Ben Hopwood 10, Aaron Baseby 9+1, Adam Ellis 8+2, Danny Stoneman 5+2, Kyle Hughes 4, Paul Starke 2+1 Buxton 44: Charles Wright 15, Robert Branford 10+1, Adam McKinna 7, Luke Priest 6+1, Chris Widman 3+1, Ryan Blacklock 2, Dean Felton 1+1
  14. And now we have come in from the playground how could this be achieved? release monthly averages? This probably wouldn't make much difference as Kings Lynn have ridden 1 match in 6 weeks I think Drop the matches when a riders averarge changes to 2 A 2.H. Not a realistic reflection of average scoring power IMHO. Rank riders rather than go on their scoring achievements? I believe this is done in NZ and is successful but not quite sure how it works. I can't think of any others. One thing that is for certain is the NL is going through a barren period but I'm sure it will pick up as the DL's and the Amatuer meetings are showing great prospects.
  15. Ooooh get you with stand up routine Right I'll ask the question again In what respect?
  16. In what respect???? I agree maybe as Perry has a 'settled' PL place maybe he should be replaced by a 3 pointer any suggestions????? but Dudley are out to win the league after the dissapointment of the last 2 years and good luck to them. (as Scunny were last year. Remember a cerrtain S Nielson at number 8 as a 5 point rider?). Ben try as he might to get a new average has simply not done enough meetings but that is down to weather and amount of meetings in the NL when he has he will move up!!!!!!!!!!!! I supose at Stoke the race is on to see who makes the most progress out of Wrathall and Carr as that could be Adam down at Res again!!!!!! Would that be a joke?????
  17. Don't make it right Wrong we have the so called greatest sporting specticle on earth taking over in the next 3 weeks where people strive to move up the medal ladder it's the nature of sport and measures progress and development. Well it maybe low points money in Rye House speak and this may come as a surprise to you but some riders are happy to ride for it and ride all season as they want to learn Give the lads a Trophy what harm could it do
  18. The MDL project steps it up. With the introduction of the Midland Development League Riders Championship Taken from http://www.leicesterlions.co/ Beaumont Park will host the inaugural Midland Development League Riders’ Championship Final when the top riders from the seven clubs will compete for the title. The event is planned for Friday 28th September with a 7.30pm start. Kelvin Lapworth League Coordinator said; GP format. each team to nominate 2 riders, 2 wild cards nominated by myself and 2 reserves to be nominated by Leicester. In line with MDL rules the riders will not be paid for this meeting however we are looking for sponsors to cover costs and for trophy's and prizes
  19. They have Lewis Rose and Jake Williams waiting in the wings picking up some experience in the JL's. Stagnated no disheartened maybe as you probably ask yourself the question. What for????? Stokes was riding brilliantly at Leiceter in a recent challenge not far off the PL riders and was stopped by the ref from riding in the 'exclusive' PL heats so when you are working against that kind of mentality I'm not surprised they all don't give up. Confidence and motivation can be as much as a factor as ability..
  20. I have learned over the years to ignore what is said on here and take it with a pinch of salt, unless i'm feeling in a mischievious mood, which I often am i'm affraid. Don't take it all to heart some weeks it will be up, some weeks it will be down and some weks it will be someone else I supose at the end of the day the forum is there for people to express their views, granted it can be annonymously and that can be frustrating but I have always gone on the 'fair game' theory take any praise which may come your way but that will also bring criticism with it.' that's speedway' or so they say
  21. You are right of course but those passports were issued by the Consulate general of HK they weren't full british passports and it said so on the front
  22. Having seen Simon at Leicester most weeks I would say the whole Lions set up didn't work for him not the other way round. I don't know if he turned down any other offers at the beginning of the season, to go to Leicester, but I do hope not. Simon has always struck me as a team man. Other riders such as Birks, Worrall ® etc strike me as more individual riders. Every rider that enters the NL can't be the next world champ!!!!!!! but if they entertain as they go then why knock. That made me chuckle I await the response with baited breath
  23. At the end of the day if you have a British Passport you are British, regardless of where you were born, or parentage. I'm a Brit through and through but my Brother has dual Dutch/British Nationality, not a rider btw, because he was born in Holland and has a british father the only difference being that holding a british passport, once upon a time openeded more international doors than a dutch one when it was the old black passport. These days you hold a European passport so no difference. It's only a matter of time before the NL will have to recognise a European nationality anyway. Henning is married to a British girl and needs the grand required to apply for british citizenship to hold a british passport
