  1. Had a brilliant time at RH yesterday a good laugh all round with the RH supporters. The presentation was a little drawn out cosidering the forecast but in the end it stayed fine :-).Oh and I would have said the same even if Lions had lost.
  2. Nice try..............Now back to topic I'm probably one of the few who can see the arguments from both sides probably because I don't favour one or the other i just enjoy what BP has provided so far and I am grateful to those who brought it back all of those no exeptions. The promotion - the campaigners - the volunteers who also made it happen (my husband being one of them)even........The riders who took a punt on a new set up.
  3. Yes and it is always the case that there is a little acrymony when there is effectively a 'divorce' I'm affraid I don't know Ken so I don't know about his views on any of the subjects you mention. Do you know Ken and of his views? what I do know is the reason behind his campaign and I fully respect that, finding myself unable to hold a candle to his commitment and strength af character.. Well that isn't what you were doing in the post I replied to infact I translated it as good ridance to bad rubbish we don't want your sort round here. If you had campaigned for the 28 years and now were found out in the cold you may feel a little aggrieved. I don't believe the letters etc are out to cause trouble it is them as you call them using the press to put the record straight or another point of view and whats wrong with that it's the only voice they have.. I don't have a hidden adgenda I just believ in a balanced view.
  4. My apologies but there are hardly words.....Apart from I have promoted moving on and not living in the past but I will never never degrade the efforts those you mention put in and you have just summed it up. Well I supose it is a lesson learned for them. Can I ask where were you for the 28 years of campaigning???? I was sat at home on my backside until the day it was announced that speedway would return to Leicester. By then all th hardwork had been done.
  5. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!! You apear to have gone off topic there a tad
  6. Well thats a bit of a shocker !!!!!
  7. Na he is busy not riding for Scunthorpe
  8. Don't know can't decide I'm spoilt for choice !!!!!!! It would be easier for me to decide which one I'm not supporting. Anyway back to topic. Why can't the meeting be brought forward????
  9. Don't feed the troll I threw him a crumb can't help myself but he isn't worth!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Ooooh nurse my sides !!!!!!!! Youv'e got me there!!!!!!
  11. Ummm yes all those training sessions and academies that they hold on 'Dudley high street' You making fun of supporters who don't have their own track and have to track share. I never thought you would stoop that low.but clearly I was wrong. If they had their own track the question woudn't even arise because they wouldn't be in this league
  12. and I imagine Jayne will be looking for a guest that day for Charles wright.
  13. Ummm less clear again. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Oh ok thanks!! I imagine on that basis he would be missing what ever time the meeting started.
  15. Having sad that with Morris Blackbird and Roynon all riding in the same meeting if they didn't get there the time would have to be delayed, I imagine. Why would Perry be missing???
  16. This maybe a continuation of last weeks fiasco when Leicester were supposed to put their meeting back till 7.30 so Lewis could ride in both but Leicester put their meeting back on the 19th and Mildenhall brought their meeting forward last week. I don't think it is a viable option anyway really because in the end the Mildenhall meeting didn't start till 4.45 because of rain so Blackbird would have had to shoot off. So the riders being able to do 2 meetings in one day is a risky business and I'd say a non starter really especially with lenghty stoppages traffic etc........I know Darren Mallet did it once he rode for YS at Rye and then KL for the stars or something like that but the distance between the tracks is small. I must admit I have never seen the 19th advetised as 3.00.
  17. I know Kerr is your no.1 tonite because it was on the YS FB page!!!!
  18. That did make me chuckle and there isn't much of that around at the moment. I hope Mildenhall aren't too down on themselves they have had an amazing run and JJ just obviously was caught on the backfoot but the lad has been doing well I hope this doesn't knock him but to be fair when Micheal Lee rants he gets results......... still a very good team!!!!!!! It's just unfortunate that there are so many fixture clashes and Lewis deseves his place in the PL but at the mo NL is his bread and butter he has worked hard it's a shame that PL teams couldn't get all revolutionary in their thinking and swap reserves for instance!!!!!. Somerset and Leicester swap Perry for Blackbird and then Lewis wouldn't have the fixture clashes but is that too dafter idea am I way off ????
  19. I'd say all that has happened here is cross wires........Clearly Mildenhall thought the Double header would be today and Leicester thought it was the 19th and this has caused some last minute phone calls. Although it is a little surprising it was allowed to get this far. Nobody would have been any the wiser if it had of been R/R for Lewis today. As to Lewis' loyalties I think the rules dictate where his priorities lye not him otherwise Leicester would be frantically ringing round for a guest now.
  20. You are quite right Richard it should be the main aim of the MDL but it does seem to be one rule for one and one for another. A rider as you well know turned up at Sheffield to ride with full agreement of both team managers and was stopped from riding, when as you say all efforts had been made to find a suitable replacement, which meant LE operated R/R is this the ethos of the league? when it wouldn't have harmed to let him ride and deduct his points, as you say track time is the main aim Anyway keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!
