Connor Mountain should be one of first names on the team sheet, hope some of above posts are wrong....
-
Unless last year's 2 year deal with Kerr means it's a done deal, but does seem odd with usual merry go round of riders it hasn't been properly announced
-
Not Proctor, would be an awful signing - was an awful signing last time as well (and said that before the season started). His average might fit, but well past his best and unlikely to improve
-
We could double that in the next 7 days.....

King's Lynn v Sheffield 09/09/21
kelvinht replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You just turn up as usual. It will still be valid tonight on turnstiles My problem is I was away for original staging so bought ticket this morning that's not yet come through. At least I took a screen shot of order number, so hoping I can get in!! -
Wolverhampton v King's Lynn 9th August 2021

Easy win for the Stars -
Yup so I reckon ref should have excluded both, it was soo bl00dy obvious!

TBF, Heaps rode ok at Foxhole last week. Unfortunately it's proven to be a flash in the pan. Maybe trying to sell himself back to his previous employer... Hoping Kasper has had a chance to develop further since his first spell with us. And you have to wonder if Wells and Heaps knew about the change before Monday, hence their poor returns (again)
-
That was my thought when it happened
-
You could have argued king caused Riss to fall when they touch at end of straight leaving Riss with not enough room to turn. If I'd have been ref i'd have excluded king. Bit 50/50 really, decision could have gone either way And hind sight says stars should have put a tactical out when we had the chance

King's Lynn v Belle Vue 22/07/21
kelvinht replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't remember that. I was standing between bends one and two and we certainly cheered when we were awarded 5-1. And people clapped when he got up. Must have only been a few idiots. From my view point, it looked like Worrall steamed under Etheridge causing him to fall. I know it was irrelevant to score, but Worrall should have been excluded -
King's Lynn v Belle Vue 22/07/21

Brilliant night, great racing and we WON!! Super atmosphere, helped by man on the mic. Best micman we've had for years Can we still sneak in playoffs?! -
Good start point, but I'd also have Riss back. He's had a poor start by his standards, but will pick up at some point, when he's on it he is exciting to watch. He's not a number one though so slot him in at 4. Need a decent no.1 to lead the team if we can find one!!

Stars v Panthers. Thursday 01/07/21
kelvinht replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This season is well and truly down the pan. Lawson/Heeps/Mountain has definitely made us stronger, but just as we look like we might be turning a corner we lose TJ and Riss Be good to have some decent racing and a bit of fight from all the Lynn boys, even if/when we lose -
If true should make us much more competitive. Late push for top 4 in a truncated season

King's Lynn v Sheffield 17/6/21
kelvinht replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Did wonder how fit Lewis Kerr would be, and if we had to run r/r fir him would make us even weaker... Buster wouldn't make the best of a dodgy forecast would he ?! -
Is this Covid thing more transmissible in Kings Lynn and Peterborough, but not at Wolverhampton. Fans did not have masks on at Monmore last night, but we have to wear them at Lynn and Peterborough apparently? Strange virus....

Bugger, he just gets going well. No luck at all

Missed opportunities with live streaming
kelvinht replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't for get some clubs already film meetings to sell on DVD later. Never see much point in buying old league matches, but the obviously already have a camera set up... I'd happily carry on attending home meetings and stream away meetings -
Tractor racing was almost as exciting as it got last night. No real hold ups, but due to excessive track work through out the night on a dry day, didn't finish until 9.45pm. 2 hours for 15 races, presentation has got to be more slick than that. One positive, Shroek made the right tactical moves early doors to try and turn things round

https://twitter.com/CraigCook111/status/1394420032118181900?s=19 Posted by Craig last week after Ippo match Definitely more to this and Craig has also tweeted best wishes to us for rest of the season. Sounds almost by mutual agreement to me and hope he comes out the other side

Agree with all that. Proctor is at his level now, shuts off too much into the bends and is as poor as he was when we released him a couple of seasons ago. Was always a poor signing. Not currently convinced by Kinsley but he did pop out of the gate in one heat only to be swallowed up on bend two. Step too far maybe at the moment but not sure what other options there are within rules. Would stick with Riss, Jorgensen, Kerr and Bridger. All showing flashes of decent effort and commitment.

Just read about travel restrictions to Germany. Anyone know if that's gonna impact Erik? Right royal pain if it does as r/r certainly won't do us any favours

If rider numbers are an issue, rather than fiddling with league structures and limiting teams, the only sensible option in my opinion would have to be 6 man teams. Double up/down should still be an option, but limited to one or two per team at most (or injury cover). Surely the powers to be should looking to start at beginning of April after the current restrictions are due to end, with some kind of small tournament for April. Leagues to start in May. If restrictions drag on past the start of April, then scrap the 'small tournament' - although that should be a last resort as riders will be in dire need of track time to get back up to speed. And they should be lobbying our parliament representative NOW so that speedway can hit the ground as soon as is possibly allowed. Crowd numbers in stadia are unlikely to be an issue going on last Octobers guidelines
