Now we know the Warriors are confirmed in the league and in the Trophy it’s time to speculate who will be in the team under the excellent and respected stewardship of Barry Bishop & Martin Widman. Ill need to have a think about the actual potential line-up but it would be particularly good to see Alfie return, Bursill as the 2 pointer and maybe poach a youngster or two from Eastbourne!
-
Where do people actually think they’ll ride? A Monmore & Birmingham split again??
-
Totally agree. But Mildenhall have already said he won’t be back (likewise Kinsley).
-
Very sad to see Buxton go. It’s effectively a 38 point limit, with the newbies now coming in on a 2.00. I can see a few top end riders like Kemp & Bacon doing the upper leagues only.

I definitely can’t see a second eagles team appearing and where would this new Northern team run from?! Also I think there has to be a big question mark over Leicester running a second team with the original intention of them doing that if they were in the top flight still riding midweek.
-
Home and away twice? Bring back the NL Fours & NL Pairs?
-
Maybe he couldn’t fit Worrall into the budget. Nothing to do with averages.

The 2018 winner is Hunters!! He heads the podium alongside SKJ and CUFC_Brummie! That’s a third place and now a second place for SKJ haha. I gave up waiting for the final greensheet so used the BSPA averages section. Hunters’ team was: Wood (9.28), Kemp (9.15), Flint (8.55), Thomas (8.44), Smith (8.41), Bickley (8.39) and Edwards (6.73). Previous results were: 2017: 1st Eagle69, 2nd Islander15, 3rd SKJ 2016: 1st Halifax Tiger, 2nd John Leslie, 3rd Turn Two Hunters: 58.95 SKJ: 58.61 CUFC_Brummie: 58.28 Bob C: 57.68 Iand: 57.61 Panthers89: 57.42 Walter Plinge: 57.08 BV 72: 56.94 Eagle69: 56.68 Islander15: 56.37 Teaboy297: 56.26 Sings4Speedway: 55.80 Hawks 1975: 55.70 Adz_mft: 55.46 Eagles no1: 54.16 Monarchs Mitchy: 53.16 Szkocjasid: 52.91 Brummie Kev: 52.52 Mike c: 51.48 Paulboy: 50.72 Greg: 50.18 Woz01: 49.67 Bluenose: 48.81

This team strikes me as similar to this year’s Birmingham side: an excellent top 4 but a lacking bottom 3. If the top 4 ride to their potential then you only need Bailey to beat the opposition reserves for an away win but one of the top 4 have an off day and you can slip to a home defeat! However entertainment is guaranteed with them lot at the EWR.
-
It’s going to be a very weak bottom 3 with Bailey still not pulling up any trees, List probably in the main body and completely new to the league and another 2 pointer at reserve! Puts a lot of emphasis on the very good top 4 but Scunny found out this past season what happens if even 1 of them is injured!
-
How many promoters really want a limit as low as 32? The ones I’m aware of the opinions of are all against it so surely it won’t be voted in. It sounds like something the leagues above wanted to impose, rather than the NL want themselves.
-
Birmingham seem a given to move up but are Eastbourne being given time to get things in order?!
-
Kemp

Is this you copying the #NLSpeedway Fans Rider of the Year award seeing I’ve just started this year’s award?!
-
Once the final averages are released, I'll add up everybody's scores.
-
I had the comments the right way round, just mistyped they finshinf order. On another note, that pass by Campton was simply outstanding! Scunny certainly looked up for it and fully deserve their lead. Jensen was on top form and I expect the Comets to be a completely different beast on Thursday. Btw Jorgensen will be the Scorpions’ guest
-
The state of the line-ups massively degraded the meeting and was presumably why those thought it was pointless. It wasn’t a Plymouth side (it had more Buxton riders in it than Devils!!) and was barely even a Stoke side. Only 5 declared riders out of 14 is appalling.
-
So it’s changed again? They’re prioritising the league fixture against Mildenhall??
-
Mildenhall’s injuries and Brooks’ sudden upturn of form looks like it could could swing the league title.
-
It’s Halder at reserve, not Harris.
