Cradley V Brummies Mon 2ndJuly NT

I’m afraid that Kemp at reserve but Flint not, decides this one. -
So it’ll be ready for the annual October double headers then

I O W v Brummies NL 28th June
Islander15 replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
This fixture ended as a competition once Morley crashed unfortunately. It will be interesting to see how Birmingham do with Flint in the team but they still have the strongest top 3 in the league and probably the strongest top 4 in the league! They’re going to get enough points between them to win most meetings. Cupitt does seem to have gone backwards this season but dropping to reserve could give him the confidence to reignite his season. You look at other reserves and Cupitt is still one of the better ones. -

Walker is normally excellent at Smallbrook. -
Even though the rule reads as when a rider achieves 4 meetings he gets a new average, it’s been consistently applied that only when a team rides 4 meetings does the riders who’ve have ridden 4 meetings get a new average. If their fourth meeting is later on (like Phillips) they get a new average at the start of the following month.

Phillips isn’t doing great but if he was swapped and another rider came in, it’s not going to make a huge difference. He might score 3 rather than 2! The problem with the team is the injuries suffered by Worrall & Nielsen with the latter meaning the reserves (with Gino seemingly still suffering) having to take more rides than they should! -
Is Bates still injured then?
-
Guests I assume for Roynon. Hopwood officially confirmed for Cockle.

Yeah it’s a league starting average. Shanes was not over 4.00 at the start of the Championship season, even though he is now.

For anyone coming from the East, there’s a massive crash on the M62 between junctions 29 & 30 -
Glasgow v Scunthorpe 1/6/18 championship
Islander15 replied to Tosh1218's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Did Scunny actually use a tac sub ride as Updates said Allen came in as one in heat 5, but he was eligible for R/R then anyway? Also once IRR came into play, I can’t see the logic of using Gino in heat 9 or Phillips in heat 14. -
Initial averages are effective 7 days after the 4th NL meeting of the season. Their 4th was last Friday so they’re effective from today, Friday 1st June. It’s a coincidence that it’s the first of the month today, which is when averages change usually.

Brummies v Bee's Wed 30th May NT

At least there’s a realistic Bees assessment on here. The lads have done well overall this season considering the unique limitations there are in this league. -
Dan’s average is too high.

The Great Britain Speedway team have said that. -
I wonder if that’s influenced by there not being a suitable replacement.

He should be applauded for being honest. Barry and everyone else at the club has repeatedly stressed the positives changes the promotion has brought to the place, so it’s not like they aren’t doing. But when things haven’t gone to plan, the fans have appreciated his honesty and realistic assessment of the situation. Too many speedway promotions shy away from negatives and fail to address these and just spout a lot of nonsense to the fans expecting them to believe every word that everything is fine. Barry is a lot more down to earth and in touch with the fans to fob them off like that and for that I am thankful.

Will these car parks get filled up quickly or is there plenty of space? -

That’s true. I meant if Lyager came in temporarily for Nielsen. It depends how long he’ll be out for. -

I noticed that after I posted. I thought he’d use the Championship average he got last season of 7.10. Lyager would be an excellent option but wouldn’t you want to save his 7.00 average (which would probably go up if he came in this season) for another year when he can do a full season?! -

Jorgensen looked a potentially decent temporary replacement for Nielsen, but now that won’t happen seeing as he’s singed for Redcar. -
