There was actually a press release saying they will get a shared meeting.
-
I think people have to bear in mind thst the principle was spot on and that even though sat in Jason’s kitchen looked unprofessional, the idea was there. Other years we’ve seen a NLKOC ‘draw’ where all teams local to each other have raced each other whereas now we know it’s totally transparent. Just the presentation needs sprucing up. But even the big sports get it wrong! Look at the football Carabao/League Cup draw where teams were drawn the wrong way round and teams drawn twice!
-
The strong negative reaction probably has something to do with that.
-
Cradley will be there about come play-off time. But the Heathens faithful are used to putting together a power packed side that always start as one of the favourites for the title itself and this side isn’t one of them.
-
Halsey and Harris as a pairing seems to scream as getting a 5-1 over decent opposition but in their next race Halsey falls and Harris retires!
-
Whitmore and Spencer are an uninspiring reserve duo once McGurk moves up. Looks like another Birmingham side with a strong top end but soon has nothing at reserve!
-
I’d they were signing someone to replace him, then yes Kent would have to stick to that rule. But riders can do all 3 leagues if they wish (unless it’s anorger rule change that we’re unaware of).
-
Any rider with an average lower than Kemp’s can guest.
-
Good of the authorities to let the fans know!
-
A fantastic team! Ablitt & Kemp have pushed them from being play-off contenders to title favourites. A well balanced team with a stand out number 1 and always brilliant reserves.
-
He’s always said he can’t make doing the NL only pay and seeing his comments this winter it doesn’t look like we’ll see him back anytime soon.
-
I can’t get my head around the specifics of this rule. It seems to be very oddly applied even if the principle makes sense.
-
Oops I put 36 not 63!

Birmingham Brummies 2019
Islander15 replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Personally I can’t see a team of second strings with 2 foreign reserves plus a 3rd heat leader at number 1, bringing the fans back even if they’re in the league that they want! At least they finally signed some continuity in Zach & Shanes. -
The recommendation is to turn down the proposal. The actual hearing hasn’t happened yet.
-
When he first came onto the scene I also thought he had prospects and would turn into a good rider. But he seems to have got worse every year since then.
-
A weekend track within respectable travelling distance might work out for him though.
-
I see the point about the 3rd heat leader but realistically the way the team is built Morley & Wood will always get heat 15 and will always be competitive. So it’s only in the 3 races that the 3 & 4 race together that we might be lacking in but RTD & Verge should be able to comfortably beat opposition second strings and reserves at home and with having 2 big hitters you wouldn’t expect to track a high averaged 3rd heat leader to rival the likes of Jenkins or Phillips anyway.

Proud to support a team with such an honest promoter and promotion team Best of luck to the lads this coming season. Like I’ve said previously, it’s a fantastic top 2 and some great characters throughout and looks a useful team on paper that should stay clear of the bottom to continue with the improved results that came once Bowtell arrived this season.
-
And then they go and spoil it...
-
Best top 2 in the league Bring back the NL Pairs haha.
-
Kelsey’s average is 3.35.
-
Could Kelsey Dugard be the final rider??
-
I’d like to see the team completed with Tedham, Widman, Brennan & Ethan Spiller. Or Tedham, Widman, Atkins & Lawlor. I think either would be a balanced and very strong team with some great characters in it. Or if Alfie came back then him alongside Tedham, Widman and Walker. It would seriously lack a third heat leader but make up for it with the best top 2 in the league and Walker always does well on the island.

I think that was said more to cover Birmingham (and to an extent Eastbourne) than open the door to Rye.
