  1. It’s going to be a very weak bottom 3 with Bailey still not pulling up any trees, List probably in the main body and completely new to the league and another 2 pointer at reserve! Puts a lot of emphasis on the very good top 4 but Scunny found out this past season what happens if even 1 of them is injured!
  2. How many promoters really want a limit as low as 32? The ones I’m aware of the opinions of are all against it so surely it won’t be voted in. It sounds like something the leagues above wanted to impose, rather than the NL want themselves.
  3. Birmingham seem a given to move up but are Eastbourne being given time to get things in order?!
  4. Is this you copying the #NLSpeedway Fans Rider of the Year award seeing I’ve just started this year’s award?!
  5. Once the final averages are released, I'll add up everybody's scores.
  6. I had the comments the right way round, just mistyped they finshinf order. On another note, that pass by Campton was simply outstanding! Scunny certainly looked up for it and fully deserve their lead. Jensen was on top form and I expect the Comets to be a completely different beast on Thursday. Btw Jorgensen will be the Scorpions’ guest
  7. The state of the line-ups massively degraded the meeting and was presumably why those thought it was pointless. It wasn’t a Plymouth side (it had more Buxton riders in it than Devils!!) and was barely even a Stoke side. Only 5 declared riders out of 14 is appalling.
  8. So it’s changed again? They’re prioritising the league fixture against Mildenhall??
  9. Yeah so make up 3 teams. Why name them as actual clubs when some of the riders have nothing to do with the actual clubs?!
  10. Mildenhall’s injuries and Brooks’ sudden upturn of form looks like it could could swing the league title.
  11. I would agree if it was an individual meeting. But when they’re representing my team, I’d rather the riders be relatable else it feels like a team of guests.
  12. Wouldn’t a Birmingham side of actual past or present riders get more home fans to go?!
  13. A risky policy with everything so uncertain for next year.
  14. That will walk the league on a low points limit.
  15. Sounds like he’s in the team then so that surely suggests that Kent are staying in the bottom tier in whatever guise it takes.
  16. Was Ledwith as good as his score suggests? It wasn’t the strongest NL cability line-up but if wants to full-time place next year and came in on a 3.50 like Clifton, Purchase etc then it would be a shrewd move by the team but morally questionable.
  17. Bring them in on a 3.00, it’s the only objective way, but give the assessed average riders an average after 4 meetings in ALL competitions! So they’re not hitting massive scores at reserve for a third of the season.
  18. That Peterborough side looks like a Scunthorpe select!
  19. What are those guys supposed to do though when the league system forces them out higher up? Clegg has been dropped 3 times this season higher up and Perry, Davey, Hopwood & Roynon couldn’t find a team! If there were more opportunities for these riders to step up, without being unceremoniously dropped, then maybe they wouldn’t need the NL as a fall back. But the standard of reserve in the Championship is so high that they understandably struggle and know that it’s against the current norm if they last the season. None of that is the NL’s problem.
  20. The NL IS developing riders whilst also being a competitive league that people want to pay money for to watch. Look at Bewley, Bickley, Kemp, Edwards, Jenkins, Atkins, Mountain, Hume, Shanes, Bacon, Bowtell, Thomas, Stoneman, Brennan, Wood etc and all these riders have successfully made the step up or are very close to it. Ripping apart this league and making it full of sides like that Scunthorpe Stags team recently is not going to get fans to turn up and watch them and not going to prepare these riders for the step up!
