Correct as Lakeside vs BV in round 1 hasn't even been scheduled yet! We know 2 semi-finalists (Eagles & Plymouth) and the other quarter-final (Stoke vs Mildenhall) starts next week.
That's a similar scoreline to what I thought. But then with it not being a league meeting and a losing bonus not up for grabs, some could become a little demotivated nearer the end of the meeting? Having said that you see less of that in the NL and with Ayres in heats 13 & 15 you're guaranteed effort.
I guess it depends on your point of view. For neutrals like us, it looks like the guests even it up a bit more with 2 riders who know Arlington. But for a Kent fan you want to see Kent riders.
He was given a chance when 2 other preferred riders were unavailable. He was allowed one meeting to attempt to prove surely, rather than using someone unattached to the club.
A good move for the club and Kelsey has spoken about quitting over the past week anyway so I'm assuming it's amicable. Plus he's still going to ride in the challenge and individual fixtures at Smallbrook this season.
Yeah Williamson was a massive loss. Buxton lost by 14 and Williamson could have scored 12 from 5 (8 more than Bickley so a 16 point swing), to give Buxton the win. But you can only beat what's in front of you!
After a convincingly impressive win at Stoke, you should really be beating a Buxton side missing Williamson. Of course it'll be much harder than in some recent years but nevertheless another away win and the play-offs should be all but confirmed by this evening.
