  1. You obviously didn't ready my post properly as I'm not suggesting that at all. I said that Swindon were using the NT to gauge attendance levels but with the finalists already decided some fans would decide to stay away which wouldn't give a fair reflection compared to if the meeting had have ran a month or so ago. If that turned out not to be the case then fair play to Swindon fans, but most supporters want to see their team win and progress and when one or both isn't viable then they save their money.
  2. Seeing as the point of the Sprockets is to judge crowd sizes, it's disappointing that this is effectively a pointless meeting with Plymouth already through and Swindon already out. It could put off a fair few fans from attending.
  3. DL? Do you mean SDL? That doesn't matter. BV have been clever towards Ben Woodhull because they name him as a number 8 in the meeting. which means his decent scores don't count towards an average.
  4. He suggested it was a home win before the meeting even started. He's said worse before, I admit.
  5. You're right that if an unattached rider does 4 meetings and hits over a 3.00, then he'd get a new average. Joe Lawlor from last year is an example. That's why Brennan & Jenkins only did 3 league meetings last season.
  6. Kevin Jolly was hardly complimentary in his meeting preview...
  7. Mason in for Ritchings. That's about as good as it was going to get tbf and Mason is actually riding as a second string this time!
  8. If Boxall only withdrew yesterday then it would've been difficult for the Plymouth promotion to get a good guest in with such a limited time constraint. People wouldve moaned if it was a poor number 1, but at least using R/R meant Devils riders got a ride including Roynon.
  9. That's correct. They could just sign Hampshire though as if he missed a meeting it'd be the same options available as when Saul misses a meeting.
  10. The thing is, Halsey's official average is based on 4 meetings and 2 were BV & Eastbourne away. Probably the hardest 2 meetings all season. His average will soon shoot yo as including National Trophy fixtures he has been having a good season around the 8 point mark.
  11. Harris has to be in the team after his 15 pt max at KL the other week and his general attitude to Team GB. Lambert should be at reserve to utilise him best. Whilst for the other teams it's a pity to not see Hancock and I expect the Czechs to take 3rd place.
  12. Buxton are missing 3 riders and it's 4 changes from the team that beat the Warriors. Back to a usual makeshift Buxton then, after facing a makeshift opposition for one week.
  13. That's the difficulty with making predictions before the season starts as Hurry undoubtedly makes Lakeside much stronger. Plymouth are the same with Roynon.
  14. Not a problem for all teams. Some have handsomely strengthened in Plymouth and Lakeside. Also there's no point in replacing Ritchings. There's no-one available any better and he was doing good until this leg burn.
  15. I always find it surreal when a speedway rider books a holiday during the speedway season.
  16. Yeah they may will do. I was maybe jumping the gun a bit. Hampshire is an interesting one as KL said he'd quit the sport but now he's taken 3 guest bookings in a week.
  17. Saul having exams? Fair enough if that's the reason that Brennan is missing but can't Eastbourne just say where the trio are.
  18. Where's Brennan? Where's Baseby? Where's Saul? It looks a much better team around Perry Barr than the usual 1-7 does.
