The weather could play a big part with rain offs this week and last week. There was a pre AGM yesterday where promoters were discussing having the cut off dates and play offs put back a bit to allow for fixtures to be completed in time & not so close together.

Apparently not if their in the FTD (or so we were told by Watson)

It's not a set rule that can be reinforced but their riders can be asked not to by the management and decide if they want to or not, although I imagine if it affects their own chances of making the play offs then they won't. The risk they then run though is if they need guests themselves. Coventry have been very good even with play off rivals. They have let riders guest for Belle Vue, Poole and a lot for Swindon.

If Belle Vue get maximum points from their remaining fixtures they would finish on 53 Swindon are currently on 48 with 5 meetings to go. Whilst it's highly unlikely that Swindon won't get more than 5 points from their remaining fixtures, it is still not mathematically impossible for Belle Vue to miss out to Swindon. Although I agree that a lose for King's Lynn would suit them more

The re-staging date for Monday's cancelled meeting against Swindon has been agreed for Monday 7th September at 7.30pm
