  1. I think both are decent but Garrity has exsperience he has ridden in the PL he is not really a FTR he was good anough anyway he is a prospect just not as good as Lambert in my opinion.
  2. Lambert will prove over the next few years that he is our best prospect, Garrity i like but he has had the freedom of an easy stint at reserve.Lambert for me is better on a bike more in control and he has a hell of a racing brain.Garrity has done well but i do think there has been a over reaction of how well he has done we shall see in the next five years.
  3. He has averaged over eight points a meeting in four seasons also he was just under the nine point mark in 2012.
  4. Tosh, i thought you used to be in a love in with Troy what went wrong? he has had a decent season in his debut GP series he is good anough at his best and this year he has proved it.
  5. The weird thing is eaces we agree quite alot, and you are so right Nielsen i never liked but i have to admit what a rider he was i was totally wrong about him .Lee at his best always averaged 10 plus but for me Lee in 83 he killed Carter at Halifax in a pairs meeting beat him 4.0 in the helmet and that year should of won it ( fair play Egon), A conslation for me me is Mike did well in the ole meeting and won the pride of the east ripping Nielsen apart.
  6. He has been better this year results show that your man is good but PK has that bit of devil in him an edge to him a massive advantage over MJJ.if he keeps working hard he PK will be a player on the world stage for a number of years in a way progress wise he reminds me of PUK.Both have had setbacks but it has held them in great stead experience is vital.
  7. That base what a cracking five to have, for me there side is so simple no need to change much for change sake.Just try to add to the five it wont be easy but all those five can improve there figures exciting times for the scorpions. A bottom half PL team in my opinion.
  8. Those six what a list, would have the right to be competetive in any era.Penhall i believe was the best but i still say a spot on Michael Lee would beat all of those. His head to head record against all of them is very good ( close against Carter). In my research and collection of the older riders Farndon,Huxley,Duggan(a great) and Bluey are the ones that fascinate me.Duggan was a star he looked to have a great riding style and who knows what he would achieved if it hadn't been for the war. Why Briggo WK? my uncle who see all of Briggoe's career said by judging who was the best not to get confused with being exciting. He said Briggs was certainly in the top ten but his main memory of him was of how exciting he was to watch real box office. My only other big statement is in my humble opinion only Mauger,Rickardsson,N.Pedersen would not be as high up the pecking order as some.
  9. I actually thought ER,tonight would of been easier for the scorpions they have been unlucky generally with injuries having lost Birks,Douglas, Klintd.Edinburgh win it for me certainly now with no Kurtz for Somerset,it will be good to watch though.
  10. I think going by some of the riding records i have Craven had a good record against Fundin, my uncle said Fundin often hugged the line.
  11. No Douglas why? madness,Howe has had a rebuilding year Birks has comeback from horrendous injury agree with Scorpion not alot of tinkering needed maybe just a up and coming reserve who can score 3/5 points most weeks.
  12. Remember that statement when crash was second one year in the BLRC behind Olsen, i see Ashby from 69 onwards.I know his record shows he was a underachiever but he was a great rider at his best i put him up there with Adams at Blunsdon high praise.
  13. The 80s i agree with but i believe Penhall was better than both of them but he didnt hang around to prove it.
  14. No Moore? maybe in the 50s eh,a shoe in for me a legend.
  15. I was going through all the history of speedway and these are my three favourite era's 1960/1970. 1970/1980. And 2000/present day in what order would you have them in. Here goes 1960/1970 1.Briggs. 2.Fundin. 3.Craven. 4.Moore 5.Mauger 6.Knutsson. 1970 /80. 1.Olsen. 2.Mauger. 3.Michanek 4.Collins. 5.Lee . 6.Autrey. 2000/present day. 1.Crump. 2.Gollob 3.Rikardsson 4. Hancock. 5. Adams. 6.Pedersen I am prepared to be shot down.!!and the greatest rider of all time BRIGGS.
  16. Aquipment has always been important in any era, Tai has he prioritised other leagues never bothered me he only averaged 7.50 plus in our Micky mouse league pocket money for him and for me i would jack it in far more hassle than it is worth.
  17. Pretty simple really do you not have a top six in the world???you have never answered that.??Those six whoever they are in your view have they done it? Form and CONSISTENCY yes or no.?
  18. Great cant dispute what you have said, fairplay to you but you have not answered my question? can you not name your top six riders in the world NOW?are they not the best pretty simple really.Whatever six you pick are they there for a reason they have the results in the bag. I think your logic is flawed,Hampel has been a class rider for years he has struggled but he will never be a champion anyway.Pedersen for me shows me you are so wrong i dislike him as a rider but you can't tell me he was not talented? Others in my opinion were more talented (ie)Adams and others but achieved less.
  19. Yes fair anough i know riders who could of done the same, but to be world champion and ride at that level a different kettle of fish. I can name at least twenty riders who would of achieved more on better stuff but we could say that throughout the decades. You are joking? the difference is and always has been over the generations is the consistency element are you telling me NOW there are not six stand out stars for you.? i presume most of us would agree on at least five of the six.?
  20. Spot on Vince how many riders have you seen over the years who you knew had inferior kit but could improve on other people's?.But most of those never had the consistency that's why they did not reach the next level.Orion is right on one issue though,it is important to have good kit but to suggest anybody could jump on a quick bike and do well is well a touch nieve.
  21. One isolated incident picked out of a hat that incident was not fantasy, but for some people's reckoning anybody could jump on Tai's bike and be world champ it is so EASY well that is.
  22. Rubbish no more to say. And you have to have ability to ride them at the top level not a Mickey Mouse meeting.I know of a few riders who i knew could of been better riders on better stuff it was not to be for them this notion of average riders jumping on top kit and doing as well is pure fantasy.
  23. A ridiculous statement you have to be good to ride quick bikes end of,i thought this of Hans Nielsen in his day how wrong i was.If you put a average rider on his Tai,s aquipment at say a King's Lynn ( like the WTC a few years ago dirt galore on in) alot of riders would get out of shape and would not be able to cope.
  24. Such a shame 2nd Bender i feel like this alot, and then see a decent race and get the bug again.El racing i barely enjoy the PL i have seen some decent stuff more because they have regular team line ups and the GP series is decent but i understand how you feel you like me have loved the sport.
  25. Tommy Jansson i first see him ride in a test match at the Abbey for Sweden against New Zealand in 1973.For me he would of been a force with PC up until the eighties.A great riding style a great temperament great aquipment he had everything he beat Crash for the helmet and also beat Jessup .I thought at the time PC,Jansson,or Crump( on his Streety machine) could break the monopoly of the great brigade Mauger,Olsen,Michanek, but it wasn't to be i actually think Jansson would of had a squeak in the 76 katowice final.
