A very poor post,Tai if you can remember was not always flavour of the month he made mistakes he addressed them.Who says Ward can't ,i hope so but don't have a short term memory Tai was going nowhere until he addressed his problems.

For me WK the standard was higher,more strength in depth,a top 20 then were all top dollar riders now even world wide how many are world class ? twenty maybe?

A full side not thrashed, a makeshift one maybe.

A great home win,really gutsy of Birks to ride( i enjoyed watching him at Swindon) he did a great job tonight.Skidmore 3 points for Douglas was disappointing Auty god he is frustrating at times mainly because he is a proper racer and a poor gater but at his best he can beat anybody in the PL.A good home win all is not lost, maybe Douglas could be back?i recon a easy home win against the witches but if we are honest if young Kurtz was fit they would take some stopping i believe.

I was a great fan of George he for me is in the top three players of all time with Pele/ Cruyff, in a group anyway Di Stefano, Maradona( cheat and to himself), Zidane, Moore,Beckenbaur, (ect) Ward has made mistakes but not terminal ones it is up to him really a great rider does he want it? i think so and he will prove it in the years to come..

I agree Vince i go now and i am in awe of the skill of the riders awesome really.I have supported speedway from the same years as yourself and you are so right i did see garbage meeting's but i suppose because i loved the sport it did not matter.What I do miss is a good old BL set up we had the best league now that has gone what i have fond memories of are the derby meeting's against Oxford,Reading,Newport great days.

Some of the GP racing might be as good Vince, but the league racing i watch week in week out as good as the 70s and 80s there is no comparison in my opinion.

Yes Arson, i think Somerset are odds on to qualify for me,even without Kurtz just thought Scunny with a full side Douglas,Birks, had a chance.I can't see Ipswich getting through, anyway Arson off the subject a bit you know your racing Faugheen( c.hurdle) Vautour ( Arkle) what do you think UDS ( fences?) opinion??

I think if Scunny can hold em to ten,that will be anough the return i think will be a comfortable home win.

With that side they have got no chance ,i think they're chance in the playoffs has gone they had to have a full side to be able to get to the final.

I totally agree and he should be punished, but some people are OTT on here do they know him? probably not.Whenever i have seen him he has been great value,good with the fans young supporters photos,autographs(ect).Like you said some punishment yes but not hung out to dry like some want on here.What about him getting a bit of support even help maybe i hope he turns thing's around.We see this all those years ago when the authorities turned on Mike Lee, no understanding just put the boot in i hope a decision is imminent either way so he can move on.

If Scunny can hold them to a eight or ten point defeat,i think that could be anough overall.Auty who has had a fine month and Boxall are the key for me though Auty at Foxhall is a bit hit and miss.

A few times mucker,unless i am Stevie wonder he is a talent he has been for a while wont be in the series anytime soon though.

Fair point "Gavan, you are right about devided opinions, but just think if Emil,Laguta,Ward(when he serves his time and his head is right) Kildemand were in it you would have Tai,Ward,Emil,all racing when approaching there prime. Mouth watering really and the ageless Greg knocking on the door.as well, lets hope it happens eh 2016 maybe?.In the boom days a Briggs,Mauger,Olsen always had someone to push them to greater heights maybe this could happen to Tai?.Those four riders Tai,Ward,Emil,Greg are outstanding a strong era and the more i see of Laguta another class act.

Not thick or trolling or ignorant how can you be trolling when you express your opinion?Harris i like as i have said and he deserved to qualify and i hope he does well in the series.My take on it Kildemand was unlucky he has been a breath of fresh air in the series and is well in the mix at that level.My main point is i always the thought the series would always be the top sixteen riders in the world it is not! The main criticism of the old one off finals were that half the field were no hopers, the series is in great shape maybe the new blood and qualifying could be tweaked anyway is there any chance Kildemand might get another chance in 2015.?

I know in the old one off final days, that the competition could be brutal and unfair riders often being unlucky and eliminated.Now by Harris qualifying does it show that this system is not bullet proof? no way is he in the top 16 riders in the world.I always thought this GP series were for the best 16 riders in the world even Covatti could of qualified tonight in the old days he would of had to have five good nights to qualify.Harris i like and enjoy watching him ride,and fair play to him he took his chance but would the series not be better off with a Laguta, Kildemand,or both Pawlicki brothers as examples it shows though after all these years the system is still not really FAIR.

I agree but for me unless you are the most positive person in the world Speedway is in BIG trouble unlike anytime in my view.I will stress again he should take some punishment of course,but i am amazed on this forum how much nastiness is aimed at him.

Complete rubbish, if you believe the sport will go forward without one of there stars you are deluded.When i go i want to see the best do you? i know he has made mistakes haven't we all?I am not saying he should get away with murder but some of the high or mighty on here need to have a reality check have a look in the mirror have we not all made mistakes along the way.?

Lee was an exception all those years ago better than all named,one young lad i really thought could of done well was Michael Graves it didnt happen for some reason.

Newcastle over the years have been masters in producing top class riders, some people in the know say if you can master Brough Park then you are half way there.!!

Would love Killer to qualify and Pawlicki, also Berntzon and Doyley to go well.
