  1. If only it were only 2 wrongs - even you lot in Norfolk don't have enough fingers and toes to keep up with that count
  2. Yet a team can drop a rider at any time with no notice and no financial liability Qutting/withholding services carries a 28 day ban - once served he should be free to ride elsewhere If not every dropped rider should be due a full seasons income for such a binding contract
  3. If KL are blocking the Witches from using TM then I would hope they encourage the team to refuse any guest bookings...
  4. There are a set of principles drawn up depending on experience and league participation which outline the figures
  5. We will never know if there was really a difference as in the gap between his aborted comeback there was no qualifier or Polish meeting Brady only missed an extra BV meeting whilst "reinjured" If there had been an important individual meeting or a scheduled Polish meeting I believe he would've ridden but that is only an opinion not fact
  6. There in lies one of Speedways problems - the truth is not always appreciated
  7. I tend to agree with the principle you set out - makes a lot of sense although it effectively makes the ban for withholding a whole season rather than 28 days For that to be fair however I would say riders would argue for that to happen any rider dropped would need to be paid for the season (or until redeployed) Also bear in mind how biased the withholding services situation is towards teams. Riders can be threatened with the ban even when doing so for not paid being for weeks/months
  8. Tobi M To some extent you can understand the decision to reject given another team is still using a facility for him However he has left that team and served the regulatory ban so should be free to sign
  9. Yes - for Ipswich it's Dan Thompson even if he isn't riding It is the team declaration that has the stipulation - any given meeting it could be different if one or more are missing Facility as per the regs
  10. Would be the Rising Star equivalent of the "how do you replace Jason Doyle?" dilemma Best wishes to Dan
  11. Heard the sad news on the radio this evening An instantly recognised voice for Speedway fans. His deep knowledge of the sport was obvious and he relayed it with great style and presence RIP Edwin
  12. Am I the only one who thinks Celina looks like she could be Jason Bunyans lovechild?
  13. It is totally relevant He was looking to return to the sport, putting out PR that he had learnt his lesson and deserved a second chance Whether he is at liberty to take up a team spot is a key factor in the story
  14. An absolute disgrace (Speedways policy not specifically Oxford) Firstly only refunding to 10 heats is abysmally bad Secondly the £1 per heat refund formula was introduced when the cost breached the £15 barrier but hasn't been revised despite the standard cost rising by 50% Will only encourage more and more to keep their money in their pocket on a Speedway night....
  15. At 8:15 the weather radar was showing it clearing by 8:30 and not returning until after 9:15 If that didn't happen then it was the right call - if it did there was time to sort it it and get it done
