  1. BSPA site states NBJ will be 4.69 Douglas conversion 4.65
  2. Has the rule for a non Britush rider not being able to have an average under 4 been dropped???
  3. He cant ride in the Premiership until he has a real average of at least 4.5 in the Championship It would then also depend on his visa status as to whether he could double up
  4. Thats a bit of a shock!! Best wishes to Shane for a full and speedy recovery The sort of character the sports needs more of in every generation of riders (and a none too shabby performer also)
  5. This is one area that really boils my pi$$ The gerrymandering around team changes linked to timing of average changes IMO if a change is made then the rolling average for the rider/s being replaced (and indeed coming in) should be updated at the date of the switch rather than use the out of date (albeit only by a few meetings) last months rolling average Too many times teams make changes at the end of a month to be within the limit only to be a point or two over come the 1st of the month without even riding another meeting
  6. He will have to have ridden 4 home and 4 away before his new average comes into force
  7. If the BSPA site figures for the rolling averages are correct and confirmed then Chris moves back to No1 from July 1st Cam also moves into the main body of the team with Eddie to reserve The heat 14 2nd place on Thursday was just enough to keep Nuts above Jake
  8. Did they not sort out a water truck along with the blader and grader etc.....
  9. Think its worth in the cold light of day giving Dickie a special mention for last nights performance Since his move to No1 he really has stepped up. The poor night at Lynn on Monday couldve caused some to doubt. Instead he was determined to make amends and did it and more besides
  10. You know your mistake.... You attempted to apply common sense to Speedway
  11. Is it right that Swindon were unable to make a planned T/S in heat 14 die to the pit phone being out of operation?
  12. Possibly but with 4 from 7 qualifying it only takes 2 or 3 good away results to scrape in so may only need one good month When Riss returns he will need to be back on it straightaway or it could slip out of reach quickly If Simon is replaced that change could well be just as pivotal. At home he is solid - lose those points and even with Riss back there could still be struggles
  13. They did indeed - at heat 11 I wasnt confident of the win let alone stretching it out to 8 Lewi Kerr inpressive - made the most of conditions being right for him Not the best from a racing spectacle but a close score in a local derby and a nail biting finish made it a decent meeting
  14. Great effort to not only secure the win but send the Stars home pointless. That took some spirit and battling qualities
  15. My money would be on that derby being more likely in the near future than the return of Ipswich/Norwich
  16. Only if you call some polite applause and the odd muffled shout giving it large
  17. Echo Gavans words re Lawrie An important part of the evolution of Ipswich Speedway was to find and nuture junior talent and Lawrie was one of those who rightly takes his place in the clubs history books RIP
  18. We have been known to cause a few knitting zombies to choose a different seating area
