  1. Generally I disagree with those moaning about track grading. After all what is more important than trying to maintain a surface that has a chance if producing what fans want - exciting racing Last night did seem excessive. I would say that where that much work is intended more equipment is needed in order to do the work in less time That said we were rewarded with a number of great battles last night and a very decent race meeting
  2. Bomber was sublime tonight and Cam awesome. Im sure all the others will be kicking themselves which is how it should be as it shows it means something to them
  3. Yeah you got lucky At least karma came along to whoop Proctors arse
  4. Win lose or draw as a team All have had big scores and all have had some poor nights Cracking result and 2 points was the least we deserved
  5. Although the ref now has a regulation at his disposal to deter such actions Shame he didnt use it this time. Thankfully justice was done in the re-run
  6. Still adding - is that because the first 395 no longer fit you fat boy
  7. Just seen the news. Thoughts with Sam and his family. Wishing for positive progress and a speedy full recovery
  8. £20,000?? Thats over 1300 paying adults (taking account of VAT) Are there that many each week anyway to make that possible even if it was made free on the night? Charging full admission will mean many hundreds will stay at home and watch it on TV and is a sure way of maximising that shortfall.
  9. Lynn will win with a comfortable cushion at the end but be pushed hard in the process Looking forward to a great contest. If the Witches can nick a point I would be delighted
  10. When Sedgemen is the answer you really are in a bad place to be asking the question.....
  11. Which is the standard position that would apply to every team.....
  12. Pre season for me Swindon were 2nd favourites behind Wolves Between Wolves issues with injuries and Swindons changes I think the Robins are now in pole position Any Witches win in this one will be a great achievement and a real boost. If we slip to a defeat (whilst disappointing) it shouldnt be seen as anything more negative I still think the lads can take this despite the challenges
  13. Ignoring the fact that the most appropriate gap of sufficient length was missed also - October til March.....
  14. Valid point - certainly Harris would not have been a great draw for Glasgow fans Id expect there was a pecking order with the riders choosing and its likely Wight had Hobsons.....
  15. Lets wait and see if there is any post meeting reaction.....
  16. Never mind the long list of names I was agreeing just for being a Boro fan
  17. If Swindon are missing Musi then it will be a big blow for them - he really did look awesome in his first visit Gonna be tough for the Witches regardless. Doyle will only improve on his last showing, Batchelor seems to be one of the most in form riders anywhere right now and Ellis will do well too. The lower end chipping in or otherwise will be key Im confident we will have enough to take 3 points but certainly not a gimme and Id expect Swindon to take a point Good luck to Eddie on his debut - sure to get a rousing welcome from the Massif
  18. Echo that My lad in the middle of his GCSEs had to stay at home with grandprents rather than come away on holiday with us during the half term because of the pressure to do extra lessons and revision Personally Im not convinced the approach has benefitted him too much. A bit more fun and relaxation couldve put him in a better frame of mind and helped him just as much
