  1. I believe you are thinking of 'protected assets' Some clubs were 'collecting' rider signatures without putting them in their 1-7 and then demanding a loan fee......
  2. You have said that Redcar didnt have the option to revert as Pjiper wasnt available (signed elsewhere) It could be said Emil isnt available as he is injured.......
  3. That was put in place 20 years ago and once Ipswich cleaned up it didnt even make it to the next season.....
  4. By that Emil is not in the Boro 1-7 once replaced by Eddie if in theory Emil was then free to be declared elsewhere To reintroduce him then must need his 'permission' to re-sign and even if he were to be happy (no reason why not) surely you cant redeclare with an injured rider and expect a facility Dont get me wrong whats happening makes complete common sense but is directly in conflict to the Redcar situation IMO
  5. I added a bit after you quoted - Sorry Neil! My point was Pjiper was still officially in the Redcar 1-7 until TJ rode or a facility was used for him (even a non facility facility) yet he was already declared elswhere as well Under the Kennett/Grondal principle they were within their rights to still use Pjiper
  6. In that case though Redcar are sticking with the redeclaration with TJ and ran a NL guest rather than use a facility and reversion to the previous 1-7 wasnt possible What wouldve happened had they wanted to revert as the new team going by the Kennett scenario was not yet the official 1-7
  7. Its certainly not the first time it has happened Sadly last years example at Ipswich springs to mind! Presumably until a newly declared team takes to the track the previously declared team remains the official 1-7 The grey area (isnt there always with speedway) would be where the replaced rider signs elsewhere starightaway *sadly for Emil not possible Its not impissible for example had Emil been fit that he couldve signed and ridden for another team before Kennett was injured - what then?? Could we have had the situation where Emil was named in 2 teams 1-7 with a facility for Boro??
  8. Its such a shame we just dont have any blank dates available to switch to....
  9. Poole own the registrations - the use of the term asset is a misnomer It simply gives them first chance to offer the rider a contract for the season and to collect a loan fee if they dont This is exactly what Ford gas done so cant see why he is whinging An 'asset' just waiting around to be used may well expect a retainer (possibly £50k+ each) As Poole cant see the value in racesuits I dont expect Ford would fancy the retainer situation too much!
  10. Totally agree - the tides play havoc at Leicester
  11. No Dan Bewley is a surprise Can understand no King as only 4 meetings ridden may be below Barrow Boys criteria
  12. Think those chants tend to be 'insert you own choice of ₩@#£€&'
  13. Could speedway cope with 'Jack Holder what a ₩@#£€& , what a ₩@#£€&'
  14. So absolutely no provision agreed for British Championship League meetings.....
  15. I (wrongly it seems from this thread) had assumed that the priorities agreed internationally only applied to the top division in each country
  16. Just think how much you will be looking forward to it by next week
  17. From the end of June through September there should be weekly home speedway which should be prime time to attract the casual supporter The fixture list even this year is set up for that so not all bad Just need to get the team fully in gear and could still salvage something from 2018!
  18. I see the Norfolk air has already addled your brain
  19. Something that seems to have slipped under the radar is that when we do finally get back on track we will have a different No1 Not because Danny wont be back (hopefully he will be) but because Rory now tops the averages (Good to still have an 'English' No1 mind ) Decisions needed again with the riding order - do we put the original pairs back together with Cam going to 2 and Nico back at 5 or just put Danny at 5
  20. Whichever of Worky or Glasgow finish 2nd in that group has to achieve at least 14 points to be sure of the best placed 2nd 13 or less and Boro will progress IF they manage to beat the Witches
  21. Eddie will have the odd shocker but overall will no doubt prove a valuable signing Puts Boro up with the favourites for sure
