  1. Rory - simply sublime - as convincing a performance as you are likely to see Sarj - musical statue champion at the start all night Could easily have had more points Cam - frustratingly just off the boil. Not that far away from getting back to where he should be - it will come Im sure Nico - well deseved man of the match for his fantastic stalking of Wright before blasting round him to win Danny - staggering he is even out on track to be fair! Unlucky with a carb problem whilst leading his first race Conner - best Foxhall meeting in many ways for the way he attack the track. Expensive night with a complete write off of an engine blow up after he had repassed Shanes in 14 Danyon - 2 great wins after a heat 2 fall. Very good to see that Danyon back! The 10 point winning margin flattered Sheffield a bit
  2. There was also the 'Wheels' programme on Anglia
  3. And it must have suited at least 7 others to vote with them to get it passed.....
  4. 15 heats would take 3 hours+ with that system which makes it a no goer regardless of whether its a good idea otherwise or not.....
  5. Which is exactly why I bang on about 'team redeclaration protocol' To me it would make much more sense that if when any team redclares that all avearges are adjusted to the up to date figures including all meetings regardless of cut off dates
  6. Im not sure Nico knows any other way than 100% every race! Those extra outings were much needed although it didnt seem he was too rusty! Decent scores and hopefully we will now benefit from a fit and enthusiastic Nico
  7. Very few others with suitable lower average are not riding Wilkinson Wethers are 2 that were alternatives After that ??
  8. Hopefully Nico will be there too - Italy qualifying for the SON final would seem unlikely even if he (hopefully) does well himself at BV
  9. Fully accept that and my first posts were in total agreement it was the right eay forward However the more the debate developed the less convincing the reasons have become The regs dont state its allowed although granted they dont specifically state its not!!
  10. Good luck to Nathan - deserves a Championship spot
  11. In most cases I would agree but in this case there is some merit It should be in the championship that things like Brit only reserves should start as well as min Brit quota etc
  12. Kennett is listed in the 1-7 on latest BSPA issue There is nothing in the regs about allowing reverting to a previous line up. Only subsequent redeclaration Of course there is the catch all final reg of that section - the 'in the best interests' one - which could allow Emil to be accepted back even though he is unavailable......
  13. Well done Nico on completing as many meetings for Newcastle as Ipswich so in 2018!
  14. I believe you are thinking of 'protected assets' Some clubs were 'collecting' rider signatures without putting them in their 1-7 and then demanding a loan fee......
  15. You have said that Redcar didnt have the option to revert as Pjiper wasnt available (signed elsewhere) It could be said Emil isnt available as he is injured.......
  16. That was put in place 20 years ago and once Ipswich cleaned up it didnt even make it to the next season.....
  17. By that Emil is not in the Boro 1-7 once replaced by Eddie if in theory Emil was then free to be declared elsewhere To reintroduce him then must need his 'permission' to re-sign and even if he were to be happy (no reason why not) surely you cant redeclare with an injured rider and expect a facility Dont get me wrong whats happening makes complete common sense but is directly in conflict to the Redcar situation IMO
  18. I added a bit after you quoted - Sorry Neil! My point was Pjiper was still officially in the Redcar 1-7 until TJ rode or a facility was used for him (even a non facility facility) yet he was already declared elswhere as well Under the Kennett/Grondal principle they were within their rights to still use Pjiper
  19. In that case though Redcar are sticking with the redeclaration with TJ and ran a NL guest rather than use a facility and reversion to the previous 1-7 wasnt possible What wouldve happened had they wanted to revert as the new team going by the Kennett scenario was not yet the official 1-7
  20. Its certainly not the first time it has happened Sadly last years example at Ipswich springs to mind! Presumably until a newly declared team takes to the track the previously declared team remains the official 1-7 The grey area (isnt there always with speedway) would be where the replaced rider signs elsewhere starightaway *sadly for Emil not possible Its not impissible for example had Emil been fit that he couldve signed and ridden for another team before Kennett was injured - what then?? Could we have had the situation where Emil was named in 2 teams 1-7 with a facility for Boro??
