  1. Morris was fantastic - hats off to you Ashley Wethers also worth more than the points he got whereas Lindgren wasnt even worth his score! Much improved all round from the Witches. Great to see a smile back on Cams face and Danny proving he can ride the kerb in 13
  2. Good luck to Nathan - would love to see him get a permanent place somewhere soon
  3. Well you wont know until after as you dont plan to be there
  4. Id say that before a wheel was turned this season most wouldve expected the Witches to hit 60 in this one. Now 50 would be delightful and 46 accepted gratefully! Time for the boys to stand up and be counted. Sitting in a corner moping and feeling sorry for yourself is not the way to sort things out. Chin up, chest out, tell yourself youre good enough (because you are!) and then go out and prove it.
  5. That was a special ride Mustve been great to be there live Its moments like that that stick with a fan forever
  6. Gavan the forecast is now for persistent rain from around midday tomorrow right through til Wednesday morning The band of rain is now so widespread there is little or no chance of it bypassing the Showground Perfectly sensible decision
  7. If you ran a caption comp for that Nico pic Im not sure many would be printable!!
  8. I think the more important work for some is between the ears rather than on the track....
  9. Just seen the BBC breakfast forecast and the band of rain has enlarged alarmingly Will be a surprise if it misses the showground now - but the way these things change so quickly at present who knows! A Promoters nightmare
  10. Possibly - looks like rain will be scattered and very localised like today though Today it stayed dry and bright at Mildenhall - 2 miles down the road on the way home you could see there was significant flooding - had that hit the stadium it wouldve meant an immediate halt to proceedings
  11. It will all be irrelevant when the Witches win on Tuesday
  12. It is a cross we have to bear - proof of the dangers of many generations of inbreeding
  13. Hope Alfie is OK after a very nasty spill at Mildenhall today. Have seen him ride a number of times against the Witches in the last 12 months and he has impressed me with the way he atracks his races. I think he has something about him that many others dont and was glad to see him get his chance. Thought the Newman hoodoo had struck again too but thankfully I understand he should be all OK
  14. Yes but such logic doesnt suit the paranoid eveyone is against us Pussycat agenda......
  15. Guests for a few weeks then Tough on Nico who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time for his 2 falls last night. Get well soon fella
  16. It means Boro are in a strong position so long as they beat the Witches 9 points 4 meetings ave 2.25 From the 4 team groups this would require 3 home wins 1 away win and 2 losing points to have a higher ave Given that kind of record would normally top a group its unlikely a second placed team will be as a good as that At least it means the Witches still have something to ride for on Tuesday
  17. I just didnt want Sid to be the only one looking all mixed up
  18. Its always disappointing to lose but at least there was a bit more of a spectacle tonight Track was difficult - more than a little rough and rather patchy We never really got going again and 1 or 2 need to give themselves a shake Can there be any positives? You could argue that half a wheel in the right place in heat 15 in both home meetings wouldve resulted in 2 5-1s and 2 wins despite looking poor overall. It is only those small margins that are the difference.
  19. Lakeside not included at that time Peterborough didnt attend Leicester/Sheffield would be a block vote and hold the balance of power between the 2 divisions (if there were a straight split)
