  1. Should be average match points In 3 team group points ÷ 4 In 4 team group points ÷ 6 Whichever of Sheff and Scunny cant be best 2nd if Boro beat Ipswich in their last fixture In the other group it is still possible for Glasgow or Worky to top the group and the other to better Boro average (although it may be September before that group is completed )
  2. The hasty reuntroduction of rolling averages to include 2017 meetings mustve been for a reason Perhaps there was some caught wind of who was planned to be released when Holder could return and it was decided to make it more difficult.....
  3. No conclusive evidence of a break from original x-ray Danny returns to the fracture clinic fir a 2nd opinion today Lets hope the first repirts are right
  4. Just heard from bruv who went to see Danny last night Hopefully some good news but needs 2nd opinion at fracture clinic today - original x-ray revealed no conclusive evidence of a break Lets hope that is confirmed as correct
  5. Sponsored by accidentline.com? Is speedway missing a trick
  6. Very true Mr P It was a long and unusual night so please forgive me! My post was very much backing yours that 1 of any of the option does not prevent the use of the other (subject to the 7 rides max of course )
  7. Cam Heeps took rr irr and heat 15 tonight It was only cup rules preventing him from getting the full set with a ts
  8. All will be well for you lot on Sunday when the patched up walking wounded Witches arrive for you to gain revenge with a home thrashing of your own
  9. Not sure of the extent of Dannys break yet The swelling was too great immediately to be able to tell on the spot
  10. The regs do indeed make no mention of serious illness or emergencies relating to family members and I agree therefore do not cover Richatds situation Equally Lakesides statement makes no mention either and so was incomplete and open to scrutiny It didnt need to give details but just be accurate. It implied his illness was the reason. It shouldve explain it was compassionate dispensation. No one wouldve argued with that or demanded further information in those circumstances
  11. Witches need to improve vastly on the shield performances (home and away) to stand any chance Confident of seeing improvement but not so sure it will be vast enough Can see a lead of only 6-8 being overhauled by a Hammers 12+ win
  12. But it was there! The statement was 'Lawson misses Berwick due to illness' The reg states 'non speedway injury - 7 day suspension from day of meeting' Therefore it wasnt naive or stupid to question the fact that the suspension was not invoked The statement maybe wasnt inaccurate but certainly was incomplete and open to scrutiny
  13. I had to do a double take - at first I thought it was gate 1 at the showground from last year Witches visit
  14. Questioning the position was perfectly acceptable given the specific change in the regulation over the winter concerning riders missing meetings due to illness The statement wasnt (in hindsight) inaccurate but that is only confirmed now that the full facts have come to light It was certainly not half witted to do so particularly given the regular ongoing manipulations that are sadly endemic in the sport It would be naive to take on face value the statement from almost any club in the land!!
  15. The regulations stated (and still do!!) that only league meetings count towards averages The decision to include shield meetings has been added post season start and a supplementary reg is pending Without this change Nico would still be 7.49 and a guest allowed Exactly when the change and by whom it was sanctioned is a mystery. Certainly seems that it was not expected by our promotion.....
  16. Revised green sheet averages have already been released 4 home 4 away no longer being applied (apart from non 2017 riders) Back to 20 meeting rolling averages including 2017 meetings
  17. In the Championship home and away once league format will mean 20 matches
  18. Not allowed NB - its nearly 11 am and there have been no regulation changes announced today so this one could be due
  19. No guest allowed as Nico is no longer a heat leader following the 1st (well 2nd!) revision of the green sheet averages through the beginning of this week
  20. Apparently the sample will reduce by 2 each month to reach 20 at the year end Last year the final figures were on 36 meetings and it was felt dropping nearly half at the first review would not be right
  21. The issue of this first set of revised green sheets has been shambolic to say the least. Shield or no shield meetings included 20 meetings then 30 meetings All these changes after teams had declared their sides for this weeks meetings before now finding out guests are not now allowable in some cases or no longer elligible in others
  22. A quick return to Foxhall for Lakeside who will be looking to repeat their win in the Shield and set up a date with the pussycats Difficult one to call partly due to the announced line ups from the website preview likely to change following the shambolic release of revised green sheet averages in the last couple of days Proctor listed as guest for Nico but the new listings ussued today see Nico drop to 4th in our line up meaning only r/r is available I can see us prevailing with a win on this home leg but doubt it will be a lead big enough to see us through overall in the tie
  23. I would suspect not anymore Nico now 4th in Witches list following the shambolic release of the first revised green sheets
  24. There is now a revised release covering 30 meetings!
