  1. Early season and the first meeting in particular are difficult to predict. Many riders will have brand new equipment and how it performs in anger can play a big part (just look at Tungate for Belle Vue) Coming through the meeting unscathed is probably as important as the result but agree with AS that a home loss in this group and that team is almost certainly out. Confident that all will be well and the Witched will run out winners by at least 12
  2. Good to see the track looking back in great shape. A little overdue but better late than never.
  3. Most Championship 1-7s listed and averages ratified on BSPA site Only Edinburgh Newcastle and Redcar blank.....
  4. Why - there hasnt been a meeting yet. Whatever they want to do as regards changes they can. Redclaration is possible any time.
  5. I think there were 56 of him Fell out with a few and isnt around but deserves acknowledgement for his part in 'the birth' of the Massif
  6. There is no leader All equal and all welcome
  7. What we can do is..... Let there be horns - there are horns Let there be bells - there are bells Let there be whistles - there are whistles Courtesy of the Witches Massif
  8. A wide loose rut could mean a rider is more likely to snake away from the start which may result in messier first turns
  9. I didnt think it was allowed to sign a non Brit as a protected asset any longer....
  10. Just checked the final greensheets 5.12 from 2016 (didnt complete enough 2017 meetings for revised average) So perhaps not reserve but certainly not a No1
  11. To be fair he is good for that without the rollers if he gets his head down IMO
  12. Its seems the original talk of rollers being allowed isnt so. The only change appears to be tape touching exclusion now for any part of rider or bike touching tapes rather than just the bike.....
  13. Wouldnt Roynons average put him at reserve? Must be a red herring guess as the last signing surely...
  14. We will leave it to the team to dazzle in 2018
  15. If Boro win the first 4 home meetings MFF then scope for changes will be limited - particularly if 1 is a proper pasting.......
  16. Re the gardening - it serves no purpose to insist the rider remains on the bike. The 2 minutes is 2 minutes whether they are on the bike or doing a dance around it...
  17. A multi change would be very hard nosed indeed and it may make riders very wary of signing for Glasgow in the future if they do.
  18. Well he has got used to watching Hans (Christian) Andersen in recent seasons
  19. I can see both sides of the arguement here. Its important to stick by your club and those calling for unconditional loyalty have a point, particularly as Newcastle generally have put out decent sides that have challenged. This year could be a bit of an exception (although the final rider could still result in a competetive side - certainly at home) Can also see the point of Arson and others that simply cant see the justification for paying out good money when they dont feel they will get the return/value they expect. Newcastle is a great club that do things in the right way - I hope it works out well for you.
  20. Peterborough originally so most likely now Poole following the Readypower tie up of previous seasons
  21. And now a rider cannot guest for both sides in different legs of the same tie
  22. They have on the website today posted a summary of main changes The full regs can be downloaded from the SCB link as well
