  1. Atmosphere makes so much difference to the overall experience Thats why some of us in the back straight stand at Foxhall got together and made a very conscious effort to make some noise - horns, bells, whistles, megaphones allsorts. It has grown and spread to other parts of the stadium and has made a noticeable difference It has also helped to reconnect the riders with the fans which itself has built on that difference to create something approaching a real buzz which had been missing for sometime
  2. Every track needs its own Massif Up the Witches!!
  3. Well if they cant stick to the original plans and the stadium not being relocated is a problem to the houses then the houses need to be demolished..... That makes sense to me!
  4. All of them - its a compulsory factor for pre season practice
  5. Havent seen the track first hand but with how things have been there must be a doubt Would be great if there can be some action for the boys to continue blowing away the cobwebs and get back into the swing of things
  6. Cant see there being any chance of getting out on track on Wednesday
  7. Line 1 - team suit cost irrelevant to rider selection. Its just a tiny fraction of the total cost of putting together a team. Line 2 - if that is the reason then it is petty and short sighted Line 3 - the two shouldnt be mutually exclusive. Both should be an automatic part of a top flight team
  8. Team suits all day long for me Not having them now would be a big backward step Cost is a red herring too - each suit is the equivalent of a routine service for an engine
  9. I am aware of captains that have week after week noted on the document details of unpaid riders only for very little if anything to be done about it
  10. Because even in this type of circumstance he wouldve received a ban and fine for with holding his services!!
  11. It did state say 18 speedway GB meetings and not 18 Premiership meetings so perhaps some Championship will be included.....
  12. Congratulations to Guy on securing a 'B' team sponsorship
  13. Will the snow be gone up your way by opening night? Seen some horrendous bits on the news of 12 foot drifts etc You lot always seem to get the worst of it All the best to all still affected
  14. Thats exactly why it was seen as a restraint - if Scott is too good then fair enough but others with higher averages (also too good) are allowed so......
  15. My point was you had said Poland didnt have to abide by British law and I was stating they effectively they do as the law is the same - European law. Therefore if one can impose restrictions then so can another (or most likely BOTH are undertaking illegal practices) The new arrangement is likely to be just as illegal as the old and can only remain until challenged
  16. The link quite clearly quotes 'Since the UK joined the EU Scots law has also been affected by European law....' Next...
  17. All core legislation is blanket through the EU Such areas as employment law is a pillar of the EU charter 'Local' laws such as differences between England Scotland Wales etc would be limited to minor matters such as hospital car park charges and local taxation
  18. Surely this would all be European law and so Poland only has the same restrictions (or flexibility) as Britain
  19. Is this a sign of things to come? Matt has always been top dog but now finds himself out in the cold....
  20. At the very least you know he will be competent and professional. Style will always be a matter of taste - lets see how he goes first.....
