  1. yeah but not as no1 - that will be Doyle 😆😜 17-19th of November for the agm
  2. that would be a starting offence and you would be right then to move the lounger 15m from the pool 😜
  3. Apart from the fact that Ellis and ZW both have Prem aves that would be converted to much higher figures and put it way over any likely team limit
  4. Good to hear. So you seem to be categorically stating that you know BWD wasnt owed money and it isnt the case he only rode in the 2nd leg once paid and that any comments intimating as such were in jest.
  5. Those names match what was said on Thursday. BWD allegedly told someone in the pits he only agreed to ride as he had finally been paid money owed and that others still waiting. Whether he was just on a wind up or not who knows. If you do let us know - with evidence and names/dates etc of course 😜 He was just being mischievious then - good on him - I like someone with a sense of humour.
  6. Cant see it as likely that the 4000+ that turned up at Ipswich for the Grand Final home leg would all travel to BV for a finals day.... Even plenty of the 'die hard' fans wouldnt IMO
  7. I think Premership average with 1.2 multiplier would be applied to Zach. 2016 Championship average would only apply if didnt ride in Britain at all in 2017 and not just because he missed the Championship. Edit Just checked Swindon 17 meetings at 3.51 = 4.21 if current multiplier retained
  8. no disagreement from me there. The old lessons learned cliche come to mind but lets hope they have been.
  9. and perhaps try to persuade them to divert their contributions into different directions away from long standing loyal recipients?
  10. To be vindictive that situation would have to have been a deliberate intention of the timing and I dont think it was. With a deadline a rider somewhere has to be the last in the line and find no place unless a swap could be arranged which is almost impossible with the team building limits in place. Im sure there can be a medal found for him if he wants one - there may even be a couple still on the floor in the pits where they were thrown in frustration by others that wanted and tried to win .....
  11. where have ANY club announced ANY rider as officially confirmed for 2018 If thats your criteria for posting on here its gonna be a quiet forum for a while yet....
  12. Not even considered part of 2017 team by most so just an irrelevance
  13. Dont think it was meant as vindictive - more a case of now or never and a realisation that never was the wrong option.
  14. Aside from the deadline day fiasco and failed dropping I actually think he was given every respect from the club. His points scoring was down on expectations. Dont forget he came in on the 2nd highest average but was ridden in a 2nd string position. That can happen and he was given time and plenty of it - too much many would say. What isnt acceptable is lack of effort and he seemed to show that many times. Dipping out of first bends and rolling off the throttle, coasting round and giving up or barely able hold off inexperienced reserves and certainly not capable of catching let alone challenging his peers. No doubt he took a number of hefty knocks and picked up injuries but he it seems either 1)Chose to hide the true extent of these and thus not return that initial faith and patience with honesty 2)Simply didnt give one and was deliberately taking the P 3)He had lost it between the ears. He comes across as a very hit/miss confidence rider and was 'shot' Personally Id go for a combination of 1 and 3 The decision to change came at least a month too late due to the club wanting to show some faith and respect. Unfortunately when the time came it was a disaster zone that no one can be proud of (except Connor who acted with maturity and dignity beyond his years) So whilst the way his time ended was lamentable he did deserve to be losing his place.
  15. Id estimate total attendances for the last 4 meetings (semis and finals) to be around 12,500 which would be the same as a number of clubs attracted for their whole season. Whilst the results didnt go our way on track there was a great atmosphere , a real buzz not matched for a long long time, and provides an amazing opportunity to build on going forward.
  16. Well if Sedges form continued in the direction as it was heading he would end up at no7 as listed 😜
  17. Wasnt the advice re £500 regards to the fine that could be expected for each match Holder missed (for fielding under strength side). The £40,000 fine doesnt relate to the missed matches directly but is regards a disrepute charge. So did Ged ask Godfrey how much is the fine for Holder missing matches or did he ask about whether he would face a dusrepute charge? Thats where the crux of the case lays as to who is in the right for me.
  18. Congrats to Jason Doyle 👏👏 Lets hope we see the new WC in British Speedway in 2018 whether its at Swindon or elsewhere
  19. No difference to Peterborough but would at least meant Holder got what shouldve been coming to him for taking the P
  20. Thats why Im saying in its component parts. An engine here a frame there etc rather than a physical whole bike. Ive seen it with my own eyes at Ipswich this year.....
  21. Im sure there are a number of promotions that effectively have 'a track spare' It may be broken down into its component parts rather that fully built but its still there.
