  1. Wont steam into the pussycats as impossible to say when youre not there. Ultimately it is down to the ref. However much a team moans it is their final decision. So long as he genuinely believed it was unfit then its legit. If he just bowed to undue pressure then its not. Only those right in the middle of it will know the truth.
  2. Im sure it will all be glossed over as just persuading him to change his mind using the 'in the best interests of speedway' strapline
  3. yeah and then teams can redeclare effectively 3 points over the limit 😜
  4. I think being domiciled in the East of England has rubbed off on him.. 👍
  5. This isnt about Peterborough. I made the same points re Gappmaier when Berwick made changes. I actually specifically stated in a previous post that I didnt think it was cheating. The regulations do allow it so long as the sensible line of awarding revised averages despite not reaching 4h 4a is ignored. Doing that is a MC decsion so any fault lies there and not with any club requesting the change. The Premiership changes are another point altogether (partly due to the revision in declaration limit and the time it has taken to get anywhere near 4h 4a for a number of teams) and shouldnt cloud any situation in the Championship - 2 wrongs dont make a right as the old saying goes.
  6. This year is somewhat different IMO due to the rolling averages being reset. Rolling averages were introduced to counter this exact type of situation. Therefore there should have been more thought as to ensuring it couldnt happen this year. Allowing teams to use a mix of original and revised averages is what the mistake is. Allowing a team to benefit from the reductions in half the riders figures whilst ignoring improvements in the others is just ridiculous. Should have been all 7 using original averages or all 7 with newly achieved avearges and not a mix. To simply state 'there is nothing to see here' is very blinkered and insular and fails to acknowledge the potential continuing damage matters such as this does to the sport
  7. makes more sense than many of your posts 😜
  8. very good scoob 👍 Although there is a difference between pitiful bleating and bleating about something where you know youre right 😛
  9. I think Flappy was hoping he wouldnt score in the Prem ,drop to a 3 and then there to be no convesion factor between the leagues.
  10. so 42.53 against a limit of 40 without having ridden since redclaration without a like for like change.....
  11. I agree actually Scotsman. Yes we will all give a bit of banter when it happens but at least it shows they are bothered. What I dont like is the opposite when riders obviously dont give a s#!t and just give up
  12. Looks like Cookie doesnt want his reputation over shadowed by Ritchie and has taken it out on the phone at Somerset 😜😜
  13. Looked to me that it was too grippy on the entry to the turns meaning that the riders had to 'coast' in rather than attack it to be confident of getting a comfortable exit
  14. Re the arguement that the result should be called despite not running heat 10 as the result want in doubt. The regulations don't allow it so it cannot/should not happen. Look at the regulation re averages and the requirement for 4 home 4 away. There is provision to award a new average without this being met and it still is not so why would it be decided to make an award of a match result where there is no such provision in any circumstance.
  15. not allowed as not like for like. Cant just take the combined averages. If make a double change then have to come below 40. Would need to shed about 2.50 points so would be Scott and another 2 pointer with Connor moving into the 1-5. Dont see that as an improvement myself.
  16. A point worth noting re the meeting is that it could easily not gone ahead with Barabara Horley being taken ill beforehand (best wishes to her btw) Take a bow Mark Styles for stepping in at the last minute. It mustve been a daunting prospect particularly at such short notice. 👍👏 Dont think there were any glaring errors. Perhaps when Lambert was on his tac ride and Nathan nearly lost it having rounded him off turn 2 it couldve been seen as dangerous/out of control but 50/50
  17. Good to meet up with you CookieIpswich 👍 Hopefully we didnt put you off wanting to come and sit with us again 😆
  18. Comfortably the poorest meeting of the season so far 😪😪
  19. Changes could only be like for like now anyway as the team total is above 40. A double chain would mean shedding nearly 2 points
  20. For any meetings on or after 3/6 Perks will have his new average and wont be at reserve
  21. whoever wins out in this one its gonna be awkward agreeing dates. With Sheffield you have the 2 Thursday night track issue With Edinburgh you have - well just Edinburgh 😜
  22. No point in signing him if he isnt. Surely there would be no facility for him either if he were to ride elsewhere.
