  1. Similar average to Morten but even more inconsistent. A bit more exciting whilst doing it though perhaps.
  2. more likely Jack Holder. I understand they will name him on a 1 point average to give them more room for negotiation this year! wink
  3. With the fast track system looking to produce the next British World Champion (allegedly!) it shouldnt be fogotten that the likes of Derek Sneddon are equally important. The backbone of the 2nd tier capable of mixing it with the top end at that level at times and the first benchnark for newcomers to measure themselves against if they have ambitions to 'make it' in the sport. Enjoy your retirenent Derek.
  4. When asked what he wanted from the promoters conference he answered - "for them to change the PL as little as possible"
  5. you seem to have a thing for taking a Witches asset for next year. Tell you what take your pick - Morten Risager Leigh Lanham Kevin Doolan what the hell I reckon we could get Savalas out of retirement if you ask really nicely!
  6. if he feels he needs a change then a bigger pacy curcuit would be better IMO. With U21 generally on larger continental tracks that could help him more than a place like Edinburgh. Perhaps thats one of the reasons Cook hasnt broken the foreign scene. Maybe he wouldve been better staying at Worky!
  7. I find it a bit strange when people moan abiut track grading. With the natural breaks a lap or two by the tractor doesnt hold things up at all if the trackman is on the ball. Yet many moan about slick tracks and poor entertainment but then also about the very thing that could improve that situation.
  8. you can have the first part but not the second. I hope that Adam is back for the Witches next year. I think next year could be the breakthrough year for him.
  9. At the risk of turning into DIAMONDS from the Newcastle thread how about - King Tungate Wells Manzares Heeps Ellis Sargeant Not sure if it would quite fit but of course the finals figures will be marginally different from Octobers so could go either way!
  10. I think the Monarchs will take the lead on aggregate by heat 5. I expect them to nullify any tacs unlike the Rebels and pull away for a comfortable win with 2-3 heats to spare.
  11. 2man Monarchs have clawed back just enough thanks to the tacticals to be favourites IMO. Rebels shouldve been closer to 60.
  12. wouldnt have to be Wells or Ruml - could be both and a 3 pointer.
  13. Hope its a great entertaining nights racing with a score that keeps it interesting. Good luck to both sides.
  14. sounds good to me - the Witches could strengthen by about 5 points.
  15. He certainly couldve done little more if he was aiming to impress.
  16. Perhaps we could sign Wells and reverse recent trends - take a 6.5 rider and turn him into a No1 rather than take a No1 rider and turn him into a 6.5 rider! Re Tungate - I do think it is harsh to say he has lost his way. A point on his average each year is decent. Agree that he is limited from the back and has only shown in the odd meeting any real signs that he would pass. Can be super quick and maybe could breakthrough into that 'true No1' category. A new challenge could be the making of him.
  17. its catching - now even even the name of the Ipswich stadium is only using 6 letters when there should be 7. wink
  18. Good call BM. All great but my personal favourite was Ben Howe. If only he had the application to match the talent. Can we have Moggo at No 8 for that team?
  19. Not the £3 increase seen for the EL final though so Id say its reasonable Thats normal admission at Foxhall for me. As for the prog I can also understand more for an enhanced special edition. Generally seen as one of the better progs anyway I think. Has had some excellent contributers in the past too! wink
  20. Sissis did a few laps at Foxhall a couple of months ago on Cams gear and not unexpectedly looked a bit rough around the edges. Practiced a few times at other places too (there are some pictures on various sites) Be interesting to see how competitive he will be during the season in Oz if he does get back into it.
