  1. if he feels he needs a change then a bigger pacy curcuit would be better IMO. With U21 generally on larger continental tracks that could help him more than a place like Edinburgh. Perhaps thats one of the reasons Cook hasnt broken the foreign scene. Maybe he wouldve been better staying at Worky!
  2. I find it a bit strange when people moan abiut track grading. With the natural breaks a lap or two by the tractor doesnt hold things up at all if the trackman is on the ball. Yet many moan about slick tracks and poor entertainment but then also about the very thing that could improve that situation.
  3. you can have the first part but not the second. I hope that Adam is back for the Witches next year. I think next year could be the breakthrough year for him.
  4. At the risk of turning into DIAMONDS from the Newcastle thread how about - King Tungate Wells Manzares Heeps Ellis Sargeant Not sure if it would quite fit but of course the finals figures will be marginally different from Octobers so could go either way!
  5. I think the Monarchs will take the lead on aggregate by heat 5. I expect them to nullify any tacs unlike the Rebels and pull away for a comfortable win with 2-3 heats to spare.
  6. 2man Monarchs have clawed back just enough thanks to the tacticals to be favourites IMO. Rebels shouldve been closer to 60.
  7. wouldnt have to be Wells or Ruml - could be both and a 3 pointer.
  8. Hope its a great entertaining nights racing with a score that keeps it interesting. Good luck to both sides.
  9. sounds good to me - the Witches could strengthen by about 5 points.
  10. He certainly couldve done little more if he was aiming to impress.
  11. Perhaps we could sign Wells and reverse recent trends - take a 6.5 rider and turn him into a No1 rather than take a No1 rider and turn him into a 6.5 rider! Re Tungate - I do think it is harsh to say he has lost his way. A point on his average each year is decent. Agree that he is limited from the back and has only shown in the odd meeting any real signs that he would pass. Can be super quick and maybe could breakthrough into that 'true No1' category. A new challenge could be the making of him.
  12. its catching - now even even the name of the Ipswich stadium is only using 6 letters when there should be 7. wink
  13. Good call BM. All great but my personal favourite was Ben Howe. If only he had the application to match the talent. Can we have Moggo at No 8 for that team?
  14. Not the £3 increase seen for the EL final though so Id say its reasonable Thats normal admission at Foxhall for me. As for the prog I can also understand more for an enhanced special edition. Generally seen as one of the better progs anyway I think. Has had some excellent contributers in the past too! wink
  15. Sissis did a few laps at Foxhall a couple of months ago on Cams gear and not unexpectedly looked a bit rough around the edges. Practiced a few times at other places too (there are some pictures on various sites) Be interesting to see how competitive he will be during the season in Oz if he does get back into it.
  16. Yes BM - was released mid season. Had a few spins in the UK after. He had some laps at foxhall the same night Max Ruml did.
  17. I think the missing Brady line is a bit of a myth. R/R has produced the scores he would have.Where it is a big miss/risk is if you lose another rider mid meeting it would leave you very exposed.
  18. Agree Rohan is a reasonable comparison but he had at least a season in Oz and then a tour of UK tracks to put himself in the shop window. If Sissus bursts back onto to the Aussie scene andstarts beating big names then Im sure he will be in demand.
  19. If Edinburgh start like they did at Worky they could be in trouble. Certainly need to hit the ground running or they coukd be under serious pressure in the return. Will go for Somerset by 12 at home but the Monarchs to pick up the title after winning their home leg by 16. Would be a travesty if Edinburgh dont win overall.
  20. Better see how Arthur goes back in Oz first but I understand he intends to have a serious go at Speedway again. Whether he does and whether he would be at a level to risk at PL level on a 5 is another matter. His reputation as a schoolboy was excellent but lets not forget he wouldnt have even ridden 500s then so his experience is mininal in reality. No doubt his natural bike skills give him an advantage but its not a given he will be a sensation IMO. An interesting one to keep our eyes on over the winter though!
  21. Worrall 3 and Sedgman 5 both to about 7.5. Most wouldve expected improvement from both but not to the extent that happened. Fricke and Masters also up by about a point each. Cook Sneddon and Fox all dropped!
  22. first one is 44.8 so would need a 3 pointer instead of Cam to fit!! Second one 45.55 so drop King for Boxall or equivalent to fit!!
