  1. actually you may well be right. I was making an assumption that any proposed comeback would just take over the 'mothballed' club but that may not be so.
  2. Newcastle Ipswich Peterborough - fans from each have said they would want him in their team. He is however a Birmingham asset so if they make a return at PL level then they must be favourites to include him.
  3. there is no doubt that both clubs are very fortunate to have such skill and experience at their disposal.
  4. Generally the norm with regard to the spannermen. Bruv has his own business to run for example and cant do many away meetings for Ritchie H.
  5. Agree BM - Worrall should be the first name on the teamsheet.
  6. KK couldve gone in 5 yards wider and they would still have collided. Nicki was on the inside but had no intention of staying there - by the apex of the bend he was kissing the fence with his back wheel. Again those defending Nicki say "what was he meant to do shut off and let the others stay in front when he spotted the gap going down the straight" but then say KK shouldve got out of his way! Double standards.
  7. or race fixing depending on your viewpoint. Just as well it didnt impact on the qualification positions.
  8. fair play.my phone had refreshed and I saw your post before spanners hence quoting it first.
  9. hence my first line "with all due respect to Newcastle......" believe there was a press release stating plan was that 16th would be either the Play off final or tge KoCup final. Given we no longer have the first as a possibility 2+2 gives you 4 and the KoCup it is
  10. So those defending Nicki are using that he was "in the lead" as the reason he shouldnt have been excluded. I take it that if AJ had turned left on him whilst still "in the lead" down the straight and sent him onto the infield that wouldve acceptable?
  11. Surely even Nicki fans can see why he was excluded. He steamed in on a thin entry from many lengths back and hit another rider. Some will say he had marginally taken the lead but that does not give him the right to take any inch of track he wants from there. Im all for the leader taking whatever line he wants when he is genuinely ahead (ie 1+ bikes length) just as Nicki did to close the door on Tai in the run off. Very different to go through someone when you are inches in the lead and effectively use them as a brake.
  12. With all due respect to Newcastle I can only see this as the line up. Baldyman has asked on the 2015 thread what sort of lead would be defenable and suggested 16 as the min requirement. I think he is about right. Whether we can cahieve that is a different matter. I hope and think we can win the home leg but maybe by only 6-10 which will would make lifting the trophy really tough and unlikely.
  13. 2nd in the semi gets 1 more point than 3rd and a chance to score more in the final. Thats the reward. If you are last in the final then you havent beaten anyone to earn anymore.
  14. like I said even if he stays on the ref could exclude him. Well done Nicki on third.
  15. just because he could stay on doesnt mean there shouldnt be an exclusion. If ref decides its unfair/dangerous riding then he puts him out.
  16. Great ride from Nicki there - still woukd like to see a run off for third though!
  17. Harris doing a bit of Brit team riding there! Come on Tai - take that bronze.
  18. surely given the first quote changes are required before next season!
