I agree it was certainly an error of judgement for Rohan to have made those comments early in the season. I think he was probably feeling a bit down at having missed out on an Elite place and perhaps doubting himself because of it. The saying is that honesty is the best policy. Well that doesn't seem to be the case here!! Had he have said he was having some struggles and was confident he would get it right soon and then gone on to have the season he has it is likely all would be a lot rosier with peoples opinions of him. The point that he has achieved it not at number 1 could be valid but then look at his scores in his meetings since and he has done just as well.Perhaps being a number one is the 'motivation' he needs to kick on. The quirk of Speedway is that any rider that improves is automatically at risk for the next year due to the points limit and questions over further improvement. Conversely have a poor year and you can become a 'hot property' and be in demand as many will know you can do better.

Rohan EF in 13 cost us a point although I dont think that wouldve been enough anyway given the race point position. Dont think anyone will give us a prayer at Somerset. Definitely the Rebels to lose now! Witches progress now would take a miracle of huge proportions.

but in Howe Auty and Jorgensen they have 3 that could go through the card and win the meeting if the Witches are not set up and on the pace grom the outset.Id be very happy for the Witches to go into heat 15 still in with a shout. if we dont get anything tomorrow we have to get at least a point at Somerset regardless of points difference.

The 2 matches this week before this one will set out what each team needs to do and therefore how they approach it. Us Witches fans cant feel too confident given our general form at EWR but this is the play offs and anything can happen! No prediction from me at this stage. Whatever will be will be!!

A point for Scunny would really set the group up nicely. I think Scunny are a team that could push the Rebels at the OTA.

A win taking all 3 points is essential. Somersets poor results at Foxhall are a bit of a mystery. Allen Morris and Aspgren have all performed well previously (but separately) and the rest are all capable of popping out and winning a race. Fingers crossed they dont choose this as the time to click at tge same time. As others have said race point difference neans nothing unless we can perform away or Scunny surprise the Rebels in their return match.

And Im not sure Foxhall is available on the 9th!!
