  1. IMO the form of Bach will decide both meetings. An impressive Bach - say 12 points and the home team will definately win. A poor return - say 4 points and the away team will be right in with a shout.
  2. Dont see that ever happening whilst a Good Friday crowd is likely to be 3to4 times the norm regardless of the line ups.Why would any PL club agree to giving that up? IMO thay would still run even if EL had priority in all cases.
  3. Hard one to call due to the Witches guests and the Boro inconsistency. Bach is capable of going through the card and Mills should mix it with the Boro bottom 3 at least. The Boro top 4 on their day could win a meeting anywhere but equally go missing too often. So all in all looking forward to a tense topsy turvy affair with hopefully the Witches edging it.
  4. and I for one am very pleased he was! Schrammy was superb by all accounts as well.
  5. Ginos sensational start has made the difference. Had he scored at the level seen from fellow newcomer Fox elsewhere we couldve been looking a 4 defeats rather than 4 wins. Personally I wont be too concerned about Cams form unless it runs past the LC group matches. IMO its mostly confidence - could take just 1 win to get him back on track. We dont need to be phoning Somerset to borrow the panic button just yet!
  6. After Benkos effort tonight I think we may be due another air fence challenge as it is now looking a bit short and may well be few replacements left.
  7. That was what I call a proper speedway meeting! Devils were very competitive and but for strange manager decisions on the TR and Res switch may well have snuck a point. Good all round contributions from the Witches. Top notch commitment fron Wells beyond that you can expected from a guest - refused to be bullied by Barker and gave it back double to repass. Very impressed with the other KK and Jensen. Benko did poorly as expected and thankfully Ritchie wasnt wiped out by his kamikazi move in heat 8. Both Cam and Rohan did their partner no favours in their pursuit to beat good friend Jensen which cost points and perhaps evened up the tactical loses from the Devils. If every week was like that then Id be happy.
  8. A good replacement IMO. Wells has been consistently competitive on his Foxhall visits. Would expect Plymouth to struggle but then look at their performance last week and you never know. Id be very happy with a 12 point win.
  9. Rene Bach I believe and Chris Mills for Good Friday. Not sure about next week though.
  10. I cant see how any blame can lay with the Speedway Star. Often the critisism is that it simply reworks press releases rather than offer real journalistic stories. Well here is a real story and one that could have bearing on future GB success. Dont shoot the messenger as they say.
  11. What is the specified number this year for the PL? It was reduced to 24 gradually last season has it changed again or not?
  12. Spooky for this to come up as I was thinking of starting a thread to ask the question. Previously of course the split of fixtures was used as a reason to disregard them but with the additional league fixtures this year that wouldnt hold up as valid. So then Abbott what is Rosens new average for next week??
  13. There is a thin thin between confidence and arrogance and at this stage few if any wouldve seen enough of Lambert to really know which side of the line he is on. Whichever it is Id say that this is a misguided piece for him to have agreed to release from a PR point of view.
  14. I think its just the opposite - Cam needs more racing not less. The bone doesnt need to heal anymore and the pain is gone - just needs to get race fit and back in the groove. Feeling woosy and a bit second hand to say the least he said to me after. A big knock to the head. It was all a bit straightforward in the end with the Rebels never really in it which was very surprising. May have been different had Wright started as he finished. we couldnt have asked for a better start from Gino. If he can show any kind of form away from Foxhall he could be a contender for newcomer of the year.
  15. The reserves in the EL draft wont obtain an average from those meetings. There will be no impact on 2015 places from 2014 EL performances. An EL average for 2015 will be a conversion of their 2015 PL average.
  16. The teams tend to go up on the website on Tuesday so likely to find out then - unless some kind soul in the know enlightens us beforehand.
  17. The Witches started with a comfortable win over a spirited Rockets side but now face the Rebels who were mighty impressive at Plymouth. Meetings between these sides have been one of the highlights of our time in the PL and this should be more of the same. This could be a true barometer of our credentials as challengers for honours in 2014. Witches 46 Rebels 44 for me.
  18. hopefully next week the only battering that gets mentioned is that of the Rebels!
  19. Nickis gone soft leaving such a big gap! Tut tut - I thought talk of Darcys sudden spurts were banned on this forum! lol
  20. The bone didnt heal as well as hoped but the recent op I understand was as much about pain management as injury repair.
  21. Im far from a fan of Nicki and would rarely give him the benefit of the doubt in a 50/50 situation but this time I cant see he has done anything wrong .
