  1. Proof that Semion is from Norfolk - tucked in his thumb and used his fingers to count to 4! (tongue in cheek smiley)
  2. Jason (G)Crump - a great racer and one of the most consistent of all time at world level but always seemed miserable to me.
  3. Id expect it may be the Polish TV that are most interested but they need broadcast/production logistics so Sky involved. So we will have riders booked for a benefit meeting having to pull out for a pre season challenge for the convenience of Polish TV.
  4. I reckon if you sliced the island exactly in two for a north and south split then Scunny and Sheffield would count as southerners!
  5. Had a chat with Leighs brother Nicki yesterday and he is confident they will have a good set up ready. Leigh has been on Sean Wilson engines for the last couple of years so he should know whats needed.
  6. As a listed company dont Sky have a regulatory obligation to offer transparent financial information re income/expenditure for investers?
  7. It could be a step towards one though perhaps. Quite a number of posts have championed a magazine style round up of all fixtures as being on their wish list. Until now the coverage simply hasnt been there to consider it. With this new tie up with a bit of forward thinking and development it could be.
  8. Incredible natural talent but wasn't able to fulfil his potential. Didn't seem to have the will to apply it fully. Mad as a box of frogs if even a few of the stories Ive heard are true! Suffered a serious arm injury before retiring.
  9. The 19th is the Wednesday. Is that the day of this meeting? The Saturday is the 22nd - when NKI and KB are already booked to ride in the Morten Risager testimonial. Is another benefit meeting about to be undermined??
  10. Many may scoff but IMO this is one of your more sensible posts! Certainly more than capable of 4.50 to 5 points which would mean 50 to 67% increase and few will achieve that.
  11. As Badge mentioned he will be riding elsewhere as well.Very little choice given the number of teams riding. I havent looked for other options just replying to Beerhuts Comets suggestion.
  12. Didnt Len Silver say something very similar about Nelson? Thought all the paperwork was in place before Nelson left only to find out it had all gone pear shaped after all. FWIW Id like to see it sorted and all the visas issued but unfotunately doesnt look likely.
  13. One point Id say is relevant is that about in order for a rider on a tier 5 visa to compete then ALL clubs would have to obtain a tier 5 licence regardless of whether they themselves have a rider on that visa. Presumably this comes at some cost and so you can understand clubs saying no - unless Somerset and the others are going to fund all 23 licences.
  14. Also stated that it will be unlikely to have a positive impact for this year but hope to get it sorted for the future.
  15. Obvious choice as he is probably the only rider to justisfy a guranteed place in a 4 man WC team.
  16. So now it becomes obvious why there was the delay. Its results day for Sky and they at the same time announced the renewal of 6 of their deals. Part of their strategy to say look at us - sign up.
  17. Does Lemon even need a visa? British wife? Permanent residency and working rights? Not certain but I think that is right.
  18. But wouldve had a facility (r/r) rather than having to use a NL 6 pointer.
